"Our family of 4 with kids enjoyed our 4 nights at the Novotel. We came off an exhausting 14 hour layover and were happy with our suite. We were in a nonsmoking room facing the Nile on the 3rd floor and although we could hear some noise, it did not bother us. The view was amazing, the service was excellent, breakfast was good and the kids slept well on the pull out couch. We had a delicious meal at the rooftop restaurant. I would definitely stay here again when back in Cairo. "
"Everything was excellent except one staff member who spoke to me with arrogance throughout my stay. He is at the front desk and his name is Ramses or something similar. "The rooms are in excellent condition, and the staff are friendly and always willing to help. I highly recommend this place to anyone planning to stay in downtown Cairo."

"This is a clean, friendly, convenient place that's small but fantastic. GREAT value for the space and services. The staff members are young, friendly, and fluent in English. American University and downtown (Nile and many sightseeing attractions) nearby. Breakfast is made-to-order, not an impersonal "continental" layout. Lots of shopping, nightlife, and Metro within walking distance. The only caveat I would offer is that the tile of the floor of the shower is very slippery. I pointed this out...
