ok so... nice restaurant, nice people, nice pool, very close to the town plaza in tazzacorte... BUT: terrible beds (old, small, creaking Spanish style beds, small rooms even for top €, and many rooms are too dark - for what they are charging this place is not good enough.

Such an amazing place to stay. A true oasis of calm and relaxation. Staff were all very friendly, helpful and professional. Room was huge and very comfortable. Breakfast very good. Always quiet around the pool.

Hotel staff speak English, the restaurant provides fine dining. The hotel itself is like staying in an art gallery. Even our room had original paintings and chandeliers. The same family has owned this former banana plantation since the 1600’s and built up their art collection since then. The property even has a family chapel that staff will open for you which is filled with artwork. Courtyard and pool area is a lush tropical garden and is very idyllic. Being in the freshwater pool while looking at the garden flowers is very relaxing. The Staff were attentive and anticipated my needs. For example, the front desk manager wrapped my leftover pizza from a local restaurant and delivered it to my room. At breakfast my son and I were provided with cafe con leche without being asked. The hotel is in Tazacorte which is an authentic Spanish town - not touristy at all. Restaurant servers may speak some English but do not expect fluency. There are many dining options and a hypermarket within easy walking distance. I have stayed in many fine hotels but this one would be one of my top recommendations.

We stayed 15 nights in a Junior Suite. The room was wonderful, large bedroom and en-suite, clean, air conditioned with very original Spanish design and art works. In fact the whole hotel was full of antiques as the house and now hotel has been in the same family for centuries. Breakfast was varied and plentiful, of high quality. We didn’t dine, but there is a full restaurant for those who wish. Locally within a 3-5 min walk there are plenty of bars / eating places at reasonable prices. These are very Spanish, full of locals and not a tourist trap. The pool was a reasonable size and never crowded, the gardens are second to none and the whole hotel, being an ex plantation is set around banana plant fields. It is very secluded. The staff are second to none, we have had good service over the years and this is up there among the best. They just did it naturally it did’t feel forced in any way and as such made the stay more like stopping at a friends than a hotel. LaPalma in general is very rural; it is not Tenerife and a hire car is pretty essential to get around. We got the impression that the hotel, whilst being in the opposite side to the capital, is on the sunny side. It’s a small island so getting anywhere is no more than about a half hour drive. I suppose the bottom line is, would we recommend the hotel to others: most certainly.

Enestående oplevelse. I særklasse et luksus hotel. Ved modtagelse, ophold og afrejse var hele teamet fantastiske i deres venlighed og åbenhed. Hotellet og værelserne er indrettet eksklusivt med antikviteter og en stor kunstsamling. Morgenmaden er lækker og de valgfrie retter så som eggs Benedict er fantastiske. El Sitio deres aftenrestaurant er flot med lysekroner og fantastiske a la carte retter. Vi kan bestemt anbefale halvpension - hver en krone værd.

Einzigartig die Unterkunft in Musealer Umgebung, hervorragende Küche, sehr freundliches Personal. Kleine Kritik:die musealen Betten beeinflussen den Schlaf durch nicht mehr bekannte Geräusche und die Fenster sollten auch mit traditioneller Technik zu öffnen sein. Diese Kleinigkeiten beeinflussen das Gesamtergebnis aber nicht: absolut zu empfehlen!

Verschimmelte Zimmer mit extremen Modergeruch

Das Zimmer war verschimmelt. Der Schimmel ist eine Zumutung. Es handelt sich hier um ein 4 Stern Haus und bei einem Zimmerpreis von über € 200,- erwartet man das nicht. Es gibt Klimaanlagen welche auch trocknen. Hier hat nicht einmal der Lüfter im Bad funktioniert. Kein wunder, dass sich hier Schimmel bildet. Die Servicemitarbeiter waren freundlich und haben uns erklärt, dass das an der Luftfeuchtigkeit liegt. Dann wären alle Zimmer in Asien verschimmelt. Wir reisen 100 Tage im Jahr und so modernde Zimmer haben wir normal nie.

Très beau boutique hôtel.

Très bel établissement type boutique hôtel. Un jardin magnifique et une décoration traditionnelle d'époque formidable. Le service est attentif et souriant. Tout est parfait ! Je conseille la visite du musée de la banane juste à côté.

It was unique. A stunningly beautiful traditional house furnished with priceless antiques, the garden a tropical paradise. Our every need had been anticipated and provided for. Each day was a new discovery. Every member of staff was welcoming, smiling and charming, and they all spoke English. There was nothing to dislike. Highly recommended. A very special place.

Agréable séjour, sérénité au rendez vous

Hôtel de charme très agréable. De très belles pièces d'art décorent cet établissement, y compris dans les chambres. Le jardin est un havre de paix verdoyant. Personnel agréable. Les lits un peu en hauteur sont surprenants, mais cela ne nous a pas incommodé.
