"This hotel is around an hour and 20 from Catania airport - Taxi cost € 140 and bus coach costs € 7. Its location is absolutely fabulous for your visit . Alex , you have been an incredible host. "Really lovely hotel! The location right off the Corso Umberto was awesome and it was surrounded by great food options. We faced the inner courtyard and were unfortunately woken up for a few minutes every night around 4am by the glass recycling being dumped, but that was the only negative. Breakfast was delicious and the hotel helped us arrange a taxi to the train station before we departed."

"If there was a rating higher than excellent my wife and I would select it for all categories!! The property location was second to none, and the envy of the thousands of tourists passing by the luxurious front gate and vine covered portico. The staff anticipated every need and request and attended immediately to any comment or request. Food was exceptional thanks no doubt to the Michelin rated chef. Appointments in the rooms were second to none. The staff, from the valet to the front desk, to the waiters, to housekeeping, and the managers all made us feel welcome and like family. They greet you with your name and recall any inquiries about seeing a sight, or stores you might visit. The history and pedigree of the Grand Timeo added to the ambience and special atmosphere of this unique treasure. Put it on your bucket list!!! Will be viewing all Belmond properties before booking any other hotel. Words cannot express our pleasure and satisfaction. "

"Everything was over the top! I have been to many Four Seasons properties in Europe. Not only they kept the standards of the hotel chain, this was the best one! Breakfast was amazing, the spa was divine and honestly except the pool being a little too small. Everything was just perfect."
