"I’ve traveled to various European destinations in Mexico and South America, but I’ve never encountered a five-star hotel with such a poorly maintained system. The patio was littered with discarded boards, and the shower leaked. The housekeeping left dirty towels in the rooms, and there were even dead roaches on the floor. My children had bites on their arms and legs when they woke up in the morning, which I suspect were bed bugs. I called the hotel and notified the front desk as soon as I left...

"I would stay here again. We were here 9 years ago and loved it! It was just as good this time. Views are wonderful, beach is very nice and not crowded, bartender Connor was excellent and food truck was delicious!! We fell in love with the cats around our cabin. All in all, this place will always be our place to stay!! "

"The apartment truly does sit in the heart of Christiansted - a perfect location for popping out to a local dinner, browsing local shops, heading out for an excursion, or ducking downstairs to the juice bar. The space was well maintained very clean, and provided everything we need. We had a great time and would definitely recommend this apartment for a trip to Christiansted."

"MAJOR miss that the website does not note that there is NO elevator available and it was third floor walk up! No mention on website that there are actually 2 separate hotel buildings and only one has an elevator. Room was clean. Housekeeping did not replenish courtesy toiletries. Super loud generator right next to room. "

"The own beer Doug was super helpful and sweet. His wife decorates the property immaculately. The pool was down and no cushions but we were so busy exploring the island and beaches that it had no effect on our satisfaction. A great place to stay if you’re on the island. Would highly recommend for couples selling a quiet, romantic escape or groups selling a semi-private party pad. "

"The hotel stay was pretty awesome. Taking the ferry back and forth to the main island was fun and very convenient! The guys in the boat shop on the hotel property were my hero’s and so helpful with tour info and any questions we had. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The only thing I could complain about is the hotel is still renovating so there was quite a bit of construction mess and noise but it was not really a bother. The snorkeling around the hotel was fantastic!!!"

"I’ve been going to St Croix for 12 years and need to advise that if you’re looking for a 5 star luxury hotel / resort; you’re on the wrong island; goto St Thomas. Hotels here are mainly historic / small, which keeps with the island. With that said I loved staying at this hotel. It’s 300 years old; very clean, in the heart of everything, just feet from the restaurants / shops / water. The manager is on site. "I would not recommend staying at this hotel. My experience was very disappointing. There were roaches in the dining area. While my wife, another couple, and I were eating, roaches were coming out of the table. When we told the staff, they said they already knew about the problem. I also found a dead roach in my bed, which was very upsetting. The dresser had a broken strap hanging off. The entry door to the bathroom door handle was on backwards.
