"Great place with deep spiritual and cultural roots. A bit of a hidden gem - clean and modern accommodation combined with 600 years of Samurai history. Temple Priest and Kendo master, Tendou Akitsuki is a great host! Good base to explore Gunma and the alps from."

"This hotel is old but clean. The staff are accommodating and polite. The room is smaller than I thought. The way from the JR station to the hotel is steep uphill 300 to 400 meters. If you have big luggage, please consider this. The nearest subway takes a ten-minute walk. "

"Just book it. Perfect location near the train, great breakfast, nice and clean. Excellent onsen/baths."
