"A lovely hotel with amazing views of the acropolis. Frame rooms are worth the money, luingnin bed at night with a view of thw acroplis and a small balcony, with seats, which to be hinest, are not the most comfortable. The hotel is on a relatively busy one way street but earplugs are supplied and we didnt have any problem sleeping but if you are a light sleeper, this might be an issue. Staff were attentive and very polite 2 mins to syntagma square. Loads of coffee shops, restaurants and places just to watch the world go by around the area. Really at the centre of everything you could want in a visit to athens. "

"there quotes all over the place for women by women that made the hotel feel strange. It felt more like a women's club than a hotel. My wife even asked "what's with all the women focused quotes. Very strange. "Womens capital center hotel" would be more fitting name"

"We recently stayed at the Hotel Metropolis prior to taking a cruise and are very happy with this property. From its location in Plaka near the Acropolis and other points of interest including a multitude of shopping and dining choices as well as proximity to public transportation, this hotel delivers. Having arrived at night, the next morning greeted us with a stunning view of the Acropolis from our room. As well, this hotel has an amazing rooftop terrace with still even better views of the Acropolis. For these reasons alone the Hotel Metropolis is a top choice for your next stay in Athens. However, it is the staff and management that sealed it for us. We encountered unexpected difficulties when our cruise was cancelled. An early return home was not feasible as it was prohibitively expensive to rebook our flight. Instead, we decided to make the best of it and see even more of Athens. Hotel Metropolis staff and management were very accommodating by allowing us to extend our stay. As the date of our return flight was approaching, we were advised by our airline that it too was cancelled. Not only did Hotel Metropolis again accommodate us for a couple extra days, but they provided us with a room with a large wrap-around balcony. The compassion and kindness shown to us by the staff and management were truly appreciated. And this is the most important reason our next stay in Athens will be with Hotel Metropolis. "
