"What a find base camp Snowdonia was. Very easy entry and check-in, as we arrived late and it was dark. The bedroom was very clean and the individual bunks with curtains made it very private, even though we were sharing. The whole place was very secure."

"We had a wonderful experience whilst staying at the Penaeldroch Manor. Mike and Carie were wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome. The apartment was clean and spacious and had wonderful views of the river Lledr. The locally sourced morning breakfast was fantastic and set up for the rest of the day. "Lovely place. Claire was an excellent host. A bit outside the city so if you don’t have a car, the last bus was at 5 pm from Betws y coed and it got a little difficult the first night. But the stay overall was amazing. Amazing yummy breakfast as well"

"We enjoyed our short stay. The house is big, with a garden with swings etc our child and we loved, a decked terrace to enjoy the views, dedicated barbecue area etc. Spacious bedrooms. The beach and town centre is only a short walk away. It was great to have all the essentials made available. Hope we can return one day with our extended family! "

"There is nothing I didn't like about this property. From the minute we checked in we were made to feel so comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble. The grounds were amazing, the property was stunning and the interior was so stylish. There was some confusion over my booking a week before we were due to stay and there were no rooms left. The manager kindly put us in the lodge which is a lot more expensive. It shouldnt have been dog friendly but he made an exception. They even brought us a box...

"The location is great, near the centre of the town The related Erskine Arms is lovely with attentive and helpful staff and nice food. The breakfasts were very really good. Nice big rooms and plenty of hot water. The only downside was the beds. In our first room, the mattress needed replacing, as the springs had gone. In the second, the plastic mattress protector made for a sweaty night. The staff were very helpful in arranging a room change. Book a table for dinner at a weekend. As it turned out...

"The views from our bedroom were amazing, we had a room at the back away from the road. The staff were very helpful and when I had to complain about my steak they sorted it. The rest of the food was well cooked, they did have a few choices on the menu not available, which wasn’t great. Our room was clean, the only real issue I had was the bathroom, it needed updating and there was mould on the ceiling. The shower was very powerful and lots of hot water."
