"I don't usually write reviews for spots that I have stayed in, but The Gate in Ryogoku was exceptional in every way. Breakfast is delicious and diverse. Laundry service is impeccable. The staff is so helpful and there for whatever you need. Cocktails were on point (and I'm quite picky). If you're going to stay in Tokyo, this is my #1 pick for its value and location to a station and grocery bites. Cannot suggest enough."

"Excellent hotel. Close to the station, restaurants and convenience stores across the street or surrounding the stations. The breakfast restaurant had a vast variety and so even though we stayed 5 nights we didn’t tire of the food. A major plus is that the airport bus stops at the hotel. There are signs that the hotel is not new. But nothing major. One thing would be to have more electrical outlets near the beds and on the desk. Make sure to get a Skytree view room. Seeing the Skytree day or night always made me happy."

"The hotel is situated in the heart of Asakusa. Super convenient to everything and great food. The room is comfortable. The hotel offers a lot of toiletries at the lobby. The automatic coffee machine in the lobby is a nice touch. The washer and dryer is convenient also but the dryer doesn’t work well. "
