"A great place to stay, a great breakfast in the morning, but what made the stay unforgettable was the conversation with the hosts/owners of the property. "
"We loved our visit at the Ship Inn. The room was comfortable and the staff was all very friendly. The dinner in the restaurant was wonderful and the full Scottish breakfast was a great way to start the day. "
"Although only 10 minutes from Stonehaven it was ideally situated in the beautiful Kincardine countryside. Room was very clean and tidy. Breakfast was whatever you wanted and the bonus for us was that the plum tree in the garden was groaning with fruit. Owner picked some delicious plums for us.
If we're back in the area well certainly consider Crawfield Grange as the #1 place to stay. "
"My son, Eamonn and I enjoyed the attic room and breakfast after a long day hiking the nearby castle and a very good night's sleep... The staff were so helpful, sharing pictures of what to see in the Highlands "
"Very friendly and welcoming staff. Room was very comfortable and clean and had an iron and ironing board in the wardrobe.
A great hot breakfast, which was buffet style. Arriving back very late from a wedding reception, snacks were available near the front desk. The location of this hotel is excellent for onward journeys and there is good parking. I would stay here again.
Happy to recommend a stay here."
"We chose this property for its proximity to the Highland Games we were attending. The property looked nice on the website, and we saw that it had a restaurant, but everything about it exceeded our expectations! The room was beautiful (our compliments to the decorator) and we loved the Victorian high tank toilet. Each course of the meal was more amazing than the last, and from the awards on the wall I suppose we should not have been surprised. Our hosts were exceptional and we loved learning...
"Most enjoyable stay . Everything was better than we expected , including the weather. David was most helpful and always on call . Definitely recommend this hotel

"Lovely staff. VERY welcoming and friendly. Helpful with lots of good advice. Wonderful location. Close to shops and dining options. Did not eat at the hotel as we had been referred to a "locals" restaurant. To be honest, the "cozy" double room was a bit small. Felt a bit claustrophobic. But it was a nice space. Bed was relatively comfortable. Parking was on the street and not too far from the hotel. You had to look for it. We found a spot about 25 yards down the road. There is also parking...
