Excellent location for the Gold Circle exploration. Located in a very serene bucolic area . The host , Jon and his wife were great hosts, most helpful with the local tips on eating out and anything else.

Stayed here on our way to Landmannalaugar. Beautiful scenery. Quiet and serene. Staff was very helpful and kind.

The farm was the perfect basecamp for our daily adventures. Quiet rooms, good blackout curtains and a nice breakfast. We highly recommend.

Wonderful stay at Freya Farm! Jon and his family were readily available and accommodating throughout our stay (even though we had a very late arrival time). Lovely breakfast spread and hosts were keen on ensuring our time in Iceland was memorable. Would highly recommend to those visiting the Golden Circle or the Highlands.

The place was situated in a very beautiful and peaceful location, Jon and Karen were more than helpful to answer any questions on visiting places, where to shop etc, the breakfast was wonderful every single day and service was exceptional, could not ask for anything more, Fantastic job done by Jon and Karen for a daily newly establishment compared to hotel chains that have been there forever in Iceland and are not half as good as Freya Farm 5/5 gold star rating

Very modern, well kept and beautiful place to stay. Highly recommended if you aren't scared to get off the beaten path a little. Jon and Karen are lovely hosts. (Also I never leave reviews, but thought this one was worthy of a good one)

A great spot for couples looking for a beautiful quiet location off the beaten path. Highly recommend. Would 100% stay here again if we return to Iceland. Hosts are so lovely and welcoming.

Great location on the far side of Thingvellir National Park close to the new Laugarás Lagoon. Freya Farm is truly a family owned farm by a wonderful young family. They were so kind and the property is absolutely stunning. The owner took us for a short hike around their backyard to an amazing river. This is truly a hidden jem.

Fantastic room - clean, spacious and lovely amenities. The owner gave us a tour of his farm and took us to a gorge on their farm. We really appreciated his friendliness and the time he took to make us feel welcome.

Love Freya Farm! Unbelievably beautiful view right outside our door: green expanse, river, and mountains in the distance. Great breakfast, comfortable bed, clean room. This was the nicest--and least expensive--place we stayed at in Iceland. It is situated on a working farm run by a lovely young couple--not like staying in a hotel run by some corporation. Jon is warm and genuine, and a great conversationalist to boot. He even took us for a hike on his land which was spectacular. The Icelandic horses are so lovely. Highly recommend!

Owner was very helpful. I had a late change of plans on the day of checking in and when I talked to him he allowed me to reschedule to the next day free of any issues and charge. Unique view from the property and on the drive there at around midnight I got a quick glimpse of the northern lights.

The property had just been renovated, and our room was immaculate, modern, and spacious, with a very comfortable bed and nice sheets. My wife and I had a great sleep in this tranquil place. The bathroom was super clean and very functional, with plenty of room inside. We met the host/owner, Jon, who had a lovely breakfast prepared for us in the dining area, which had great views and light. We had a nice conversation with him and he allowed us to walk a bit on his property and meet his amazing horses. If we can give this property 6 stars, we will and highly recommend it as place to stay, relax and enjoy.

A Real Icelandic Experience! Just reopened last year with very cozy rooms in a beautiful location on a working farm with horses, sheep and other livestock. You can take a little stroll up the hill to be greeted by the horses or veer towards the beautiful river gorge. The hotel is privately owned in 3rd generation and gives you an authentic Icelandic experience. Best place we stayed in Iceland . We would love to visit again.
