"The hotel is in a very nice beachfront location. No airconditioning which I was informed is common in the area. No heating but they have a fireplace. However, there was a certain bad smell as soon as we entered the room. It is not cleaned well, especially the restroom where we saw hair around the corners and nooks."

"Older hotel. Arrived late. Parking lot full so we had to park on the street. Everything worked well in the room. The guy who checked us in was wearing a t shirt and seemed to be filling for someone. Nice enough. No one at the desk when we “checked out.” Everyone left their door cards on the front desk as they left. So if you want an experience that doesn’t feel like a professional hotel experience, this is it."

"The staff was professional and the breakfast made it easy with kids. The room for 5 was spacious. One blow dryer didn’t work (I used the one in the other bathroom) and there was a leak from the shower upstairs going into the shower in ours. The place is dated, but clean and the price is right for families."

"Breakfast is a real highlight. I stayed there for a week and enjoyed a different hot breakfast every day as well as cereal, oatmeal, variety of breads for toast, etc. The location is the best of the Village as one can have a nice stroll down the street and eat at the fine restaurants and drink at the wine bars without having to drive. The rooms are comfortable and cosy and the patio is rich with flora. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I’m certainly looking forward to my next...

"Very friendly and helpful folks at the front desk. Room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. Smart TV, microwave, coffee maker, and cool red retro mini-fridge with freezer were nice to have in the room. Yummy cookies provided upon check-in, two free water bottles in the room and continental breakfast (pastries, breads, fruit, coffee, etc) were also appreciated. Location is terrific if visiting Hearst Castle. We’d stay there again."

"We will always stay here. Perfect stay everyone. Staff, especially Scott, goes above and beyond to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Rooms are very nice. Love all the little touches like a basket with books, dinnerware and an extra blanket and water bowl for the dogs. Love the breakfast hung in a basket outside our door and the convenience of having a coffee shop and restaurant on site now. Best place to sit in an Adirondack and watch the sun set."
