"Catherine is a wonderful hostess, the place is clean and comfortable and beautifully presented. The farm is in the middle of nowhere but within short distances to villages with pubs or the park and ride to take you to York.
The room had everything we needed and it was spacious, the bed was comfortable, tea and coffee provided with fresh milk available in the kitchenette.
Breakfast is cooked fresh to order and was delicious, nothing was too much trouble.

"I really enjoyed my stay at Ashbourne House! The room was very comfortable and bright, with all the amenities I needed. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location is great too -- a lovely walk along the river away from the bustling city centre. "

"What a lovely little guest house within walking distance to York city centre. Danielle was a lovely host who made sure everything was in order for us. The room was comfortable, the breakfast was delicious and the fact that parking is included makes this place good value for money. The only thing worth noting is that the loft room is up 3 sets of stairs (the last one being a little steep) so bear that in mind if you have luggage or if you plan on doing the climb up the York Cathedral Tower tour...
