"Outstanding Stay and Exceptional Service at Hampton Inn Potsdam I wanted to take a moment to share how wonderful our stay at the Hampton Inn in Potsdam was this past weekend. From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcomed. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and inviting, and every member of the staff we encountered was friendly and accommodating. We especially want to recognize Ryan for his exceptional customer service. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. While we were having breakfast, we had the opportunity to observe how he interacted with each guest, and it was clear that he takes great pride in making everyone feel welcome and well cared for. His positive attitude and willingness to help truly stood out. Ryan is an incredible asset to the Hilton family, and our family cannot say enough about the wonderful impression he made on us. Employees who provide this level of genuine care and hospitality are truly special, and we hope he has a long and successful career in the hospitality industry. He is truly one in a million! The cleanliness of the rooms, the friendliness of the staff, and the overall experience exceeded our expectations. We have definitely found our new favorite place to stay whenever we visit our family up north."

"It was clean and cozy. The amenities were basic. It was nice having the ability to prepare food. The property was very nice, well maintained, right on the river. Good price point. The staff at the sister property, the Gran view were very helpful and pleasant. I would definitely stay here again."

"My second stay in the last 3 years. Great staff, everything is clean and well maintained. Large rooms, free breakfast. On the river at the beginning of Main Street, so everything is walkable. Sadly, there's really nothing to walk to in Potsdam, nor are there any decent restaurants. For a town with two colleges (Clarkson and SUNY Potsdam), there's no money being invested in downtown."

"Very clean room. Everything worked well - Keurig area in the room was well-stocked, nice-sized fridge that had a dedicated freezer space in it which was perfect, free bottled water provided and everything was very clean! Fast and easy check-in, location was quiet, which surprised me because it is located on a busy road. As a solo female traveler I did feel safe there."

"I booked the least expensive room which turned out to have a view of the top of the overhang of the building. The room had a window with a curtain that smelled so bad I was afraid to open it for fear it would spread it’s funk throughout the room. The window which looked like I could have opened it was covered in filth and dead bugs. The bed was comfortable. The refrigerator and microwave worked well. Breakfast was a basic carb fest. If you like to eat cereal and bread you are in luck! The restaurant is closed on Sunday and Monday, the 2 nights that I was there. To be fair the property is beautiful. It’s on the river with lots of places to sit and enjoy views of the river. All in all it was disappointing."

"Beth was amazing! Her home, food and hospitality is something you don’t want to miss. My husband and I enjoyed hearing about the history of Beth’s home and the area. Her home is beautiful. I loved the extremely comfortable bed. You can also relax indoors or on her side or back porches or go down to the water. The area is beautiful, as well as. We will definitely visit again!"
