La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Stamford / New York City
4/10 Poor
"La quinta is a great place. However there were too many dogs and the cleanliness was not great. We found feminine hygiene pad near the staircase. Customer service was good."
"Pool closed because nobody is CPR trained, just put up a sign to swim at own risk. No free coffee. No free breakfast. There credit card system down at the restaurant so it is room charge or cash. Cleaning staff is fine."
"I appreciated the convenience of this hotel, but it is not the type of accommodation I would choose to stay at again. The room was very small and uncomfortable, and there was a noticeable urine-like odor. It was clear that the room had not been cleaned thoroughly, as the smell was quite strong. I believe the shower curtains may be the source of the odor and should be replaced.
I also had to request that my room be cleaned, which gave me the impression that housekeeping may only service rooms after guests check out. On a positive note, the front desk staff were accommodating and had no issue moving me to a different room when I requested one.
The air conditioning, heating, and hot water all worked well. Since I am familiar with the area, parking was not a problem for me; however, guests who are unfamiliar with the neighborhood may find parking frustrating and difficult to navigate."
"The hotel itself is modern and the room was extremely clean, modern and very well kept. There are not a lot of amenities around the hotel but if you are simply looking for a comfortable place to stay, this is a great choice."
"It is a traditional hotel, looks like the hotels from 20 years ago, maintained good, but showed its age. It is clean, but you know something is hidden in the carpet. Good for one night stay, but you would not trust your kids to run around the room with bare feet."
"Breakfast was supposed to be provided at 7am on Saturday and Sunday. The staff did not show up so I never had the meal that was supposed to be provided. This was supposed to be included in the price of the stay. There was only one room key given I was told that we would get another one the following morning, they did not replenished the stock. My coffee maker still had a k-cup left in the machine from the previous traveler so how clean are the rooms?"
