"Room is not bad except need to mop the floor bed is good . Just a little bit maintenance put a lock on window patio . Curtains need to change need a maps to find your room and elevator"

"Staff was rude. We didn’t know we came right before bike week so a heads up on that when we booked the hotel months in advance would’ve been nice. The staff called us mid day while we were at the beach asking us to move our car so the bikes could park there. They have 4 parking lots and I was in the first parking lot which was closer to the lobby. They wanted all the bikes to be on that floor so they weren’t setting car alarms off all night. That part I guess was understandable. What was not understandable is why they didn’t give us this notice prior to parking there and the. Calling us away from the beach soaking wet mid day to move the car when we paid good money to stay at the hotel just like the bikers. The front staff was extremely rude about it when I addressed my concerns. “ fine don’t move and have ur alarm go off” and rolled her eyes and walked away. And this was the manager named Ashley. You have to have a key card to get anywhere in the hotel which is also nice for security purposes but very inconvenient at the same time. I can’t tell you how many times we went to use the bathroom from the pool area and had to turn around to get the card just to get in. A wristband that has a key on it would’ve been way more convenient. Other then that the hotel was nice and clean. I however am big on respect and curiosity and the front staff failed miserably"

"Checked in, was not shown how to get to room, last room of the 3 buildings, construction cranes outside the windows. Elderly mother couldn't walk around there, roaches in room, no cold water, shower falling apart, nothing like the photos or the room I reserved. Remotes did not work. Was told to go to maintenance for batteries.. never found them. Carpets so dirty, your feet were black . They refused to move us unless we paid for an upgrade After 3 days of arguing with them, we had too check out, could not take it anymore. They refused to refund the 2 days we had left, refused to do anything to try and make it right. Ignored us, will never return to Compass cove..."

"Staff was great, owner or manager, old dude was a jerk. We have booked via Expedia multiple times a year for over 10 years, this was the first time that our chargers were only for the first night and we paid the rest on site, we typically pay all upfront. When we asked for clarification the guy came out and was incredibly rude. He said the fees were because we had a dog with us. I clarified that the dog is a service dog he then back peddled and tripping over his words demand to see my bank account. He undoubtedly created a hostile situation that was unnecessary. Eventually we got to the bottom of the charges. The rooms were dated but nice and clean. The beds were SO UNCOMFORTABLE!!!! The balcony and unobstructed view of the ocean was amazing. We slept with the balcony door open and enjoyed the ocean all night long. The pools and hot tubs were very nice. We really enjoyed the lazy river. The pool, waterfront balcony and beach access make this place worthy of repeating our stay. Hopefully that one in particular person can have a better attitude for all future guest."
