"Very good location in center of York. Great view of York Minster. The family room is spacious for family of 5. Remodeled bathrooms with good shower facility.
The only downside is uneven hardwood floor makes noises. And less sound isolation. Mattress is too bouncy. "
"Very historic property which is close to train station and all sites of interest. Overall great service. It should be noted that there is no AC nor elevator do to historic nature of property. Usually not a big deal as it is seldom "warm" in York and there are staff who will assist if one needs help with luggage. Bathroom was wonderful."

"Apart from our room on the first night being totally unacceptable after that we had a wonderful stay. Expedia should make sure the rooms are duitable before passing to the customer. We had a disabled single room. Very sparsely furnished. No bedside table no decent hanging space poor lighting no dressing table no drawers a very dim window which didn’t open. The bathroom was unusable due to the disgusting smell. Fortunately the hotel moved us to a lovely new room with all facilities. I cannot...
"Full of character Beautiful furnishings. We had small executive double room , bed really comfortable , en-suite modern and clean Breakfast huge and delicious ! Across the road from York Minster Only minor complaint was that the bar closed early (around10.30) Other than that it was perfect and will definitely return "
"Overall, a lovely stay. Two quibbles: 1. Having to pay for parking at £17 per night when you're already paying £200+ for a room 2. The shape of the sinks in the room don't lend themselves to anything in them going down the plug hole e.g. spit, toothpaste and shaving detritus."
