"Please be warned before booking this hotel: the hotel is UNDER CONSTRUCTION and UNFINISHED. We traveled with our two young children and a lot of luggage, but the elevator was not even fully finished or operating during part of our stay. The rooms are unfinished. As one reviewer noted, this is a skeleton of a hotel (all fifth floor with major, unsafe construction happening on the preceding floors through which we were forced to climb with our young kids several times), and the owners ARE NOT UPFRONT about this very important detail at the booking stage. Deceptive. Moreover, even what is finished is lacking tremendously. For a new hotel, one would expect basic fixtures and elements in the rooms. The showers leak, there is very limited space for basic toiletry items, etc throughout the room, and the entire hotel has a strange, un-hospitable feel. Not sure how the facility was even permitted to open for business at this stage. I complained, of course, and received nothing as compensation for the troubles and deception. Most of the staff (young men) are friendly and helpful enough, with the exception of one employee who works the evening shift and is quite rude and inattentive, even when told that basic needs were not being met."

"There is clearly an excellent training regime at this hotel. All the staff, and there are many, from the cleaners, to the front desk were polite, helpful and professional and they did all they could to make you feel at home. Many spoke good English. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, service throughout was excellent, food varied and very good and the bar well stocked. This was our first visit to Cairo, which is not an easy place to get about, but with the help of the excellent concierge team and Uber (which is well established here) we were able to see all that we came for. "

"Breakfast was good. Service was average. Rooms were spacious and clean. Noise from outside dogs barking, cars honking was non stop. The interconnected rooms, though closed off, neighbours were smoking and it kept coming into our rooms. I would not stay here again"

"The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. The room was clean and newly renovated, housekeeping cleaned promptly when requested and they were more than happy to provide extra towels upon request. The breakfast was always yummy and freshly prepared. Given the location of the hotel, the sound wasn’t too bad. Cairo is a loud city so if you need silence to sleep, being ear plugs. Or maybe Cairo isn’t the city for you. I’m glad we stayed downtown as we really got to experience Cairo and not just the tourist curated sections like the Mena house, pyramids, or GEM (although those places are still worth the visit). If I have the opportunity to come back to Egypt I would definitely stay again. "
