Nice touch of leaving a bottle of bubbly in the fridge - a good sign that the hosts are attentive. The apartment itself is well furnished and equipped, and really does feel like a home from home. "Very lovely welcome to a historic and plush, cosy stay at Jorvik House for a post Christmas getaway. Everything fantastic, only mimor gripes that Yorks parking might be a tad cheaper, perhaps there are cheaper ones than the conveniently located Marygate car park a stones throw away."

"I had such a wonderful experience. The room was very nicely decorated and top of the line. Everything was beautiful, clean, lots of amenities. I had a small accident and broke my foot, the hosts were so helpful and really went out of their way. Everything I needed was there and it was easily accessible to the city center. I cant wait to return. Top boutique hotel I've ever stayed at. I can't say enough wonderful things about this place. I'm so glad I booked here! "

"The welcome from the the Receptionist was excellent ensured we had a suitable room to meet our needs. Hotel room was very clean and beautifully decorated. The room was heated individually, controlled in the room. Breakfast was excellent lots of hot and cold choices. Highly recommend especially due to the onsite parking which is a bonus in York. All the staff are very polite and friendly."

Great attention to detail - there was even a supply of cotton buds and a small sewing kit! Really conveniently located to get to York centre, and the bed was the comfiest I've ever slept in!
