"The night manager was aloof and annoyed by our questions. The breakfast experience at Eclipse was horrible (room temperature bad coffee and botched our order with NOBODY else in the entire restaurant). That said, the room was great as was the rooftop bar."

"For a last minute stay, it was alright. The property was maintained well and staff were courteous. Didn't realize pool was outside and no breakfast, but other hotels at this price often do so disappointed there. Not even coffee for available-disappointing. Check in was quick and pleasant but minimal information, just here's your keys. Elevator is a little claustrophobic too. Close to zoo and downtown relatively."

"The cons for me are: no microwave or coffee maker in the room.(they have a breakfast for a small fee)Every other aspect was supreme. Great area to explore. We had a concert at The Pageant. We walked from the Hotel to Delmar street. That was a nice stroll through the alleyway. Stayed at alot of Hotels in St. Louis. This is as nice as they come. ( minus my cons) My cons may outweigh my future plans of staying here again."

"I arrived at the property at 10:30 pm, the parking lot had police cars with lights on and talking to groups of people. I went inside the lobby to check in and was told that my reservation was canceled. I had a reservation for three nights. She said she was sorry and that they had cancelled a lot of reservations and they were all locked up. So I went back out to my car to find another hotel for three nights last minute. When I left there were County Law Enforcement in the parking lot. Thankfully I was able to book another hotel. But my card was charged, Expedia will not give me a refund as they tried to contact the hotel and are unable to get a response. I literally am writing this review on a booking that I was not allowed to check into. Received emails 10 minutes apart for reviews on two hotel bookings for the same dates. One I never stayed at and one I did. I have used Expedia for all of my travel needs. That ends today. I stayed at Mainstays last week and was satisfied to the point I was going to stay there 3 nights every week for the next 3 months. Nope. So sick of getting disregarded by faceless commerce. No accountability."

"It was a very clean and safe feeling hotel. I didn’t like that a big truck parked along the handicap parking so no one could get in nor out. Luckily I did find parking close enough. The lady that checked me in was super quiet and took a personal call on the work phone and put me on hold while talking. However the front desk agent in the morning was wonderful and the breakfast was amazing! My kids especially enjoyed the waffle bar."

"I loved this hotel, especially for the cost per night. The breakfast buffet was great with tons of options, like a full-service restaurant. The front desk staff were amazing and the customer service was on point. They have a small laundry room and vending area, and everything is functional. The small gym is a little dated, but it is usable. The parking garage is great, too. I will definitely stay here again when I come to St. Louis!"
