Dan was a wonderful host! He regaled us with so many stories, especially about theatre, that we could have chatted with him all day. He generously let us have a friend join us for one of his delicious breakfasts, and she will be sure to recommend the Benton Park Inn to all of her out of state visitors. The Inn felt like a comfortable, lived in home, made even more special by Rosie climbing onto the couch for a good ear rub. The Virginia Minor room was also lovely. When we return to St. Louis there is no place where we would rather stay!

Dan is exceptionally kind and his dog Rosie is exceptionally sweet. The bed was very comfy as were the robes. The location could not be better - across the street from a lovely park and in a wonderful neighborhood and right next to Soulard neighborhood with tons of great restaurants and Irish pubs.

We could not stay because I had a bad bicycle accident 30 minutes after check in. owner never offered to reschedule since I was in the hospital and could not use the accomodations. My inn keeper was friendly. However the 1st floor was incredibly messy. Surprisingly messy and dusty . I was quite uncomfortable. However our 2nd floor room was clean and tidy. parking was provided. And, it is across from a lovely park and a block away from a famous pretzel shop.

Dan was a fabulous host, staying in contact before hand, greeting us at the door (with sweet Rosie), helping these weary travelers find a nearby dinner spot, and making sure we were comfortable. His homemade breakfast was delicious. Our bedroom was spacious and clean; an antique bed was comfortable. Easy parking. While on a busy street, things were pretty quiet at night. Benton Park across the street is a great place to take a walk. Will stay here again.

Great communication of where to park and how to access. Ample beverages to choose from, and breakfast was delicious! As a very early riser, I was able to get a cup of coffee and bring back to my room. I also appreciated the organic half and half that was supplied! Dan & Rosie were very welcoming! Would stay here again if ever in the area. Of note- as the property is located on a busy street, it was a little noisy at times, but I still got a good nights sleep. Very big, comfortable room and bed. I would suggest replacing the towels, they smelled clean but are dingy looking. Overall highly recommend this property!
