Royalton Antigua, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort
4/10 Poor
"It’s was impossible to get anyone to do anything for you there. We booked reservations to the restaurants that were canceled or not put in the system. They offer canoes but they weren’t available for 4 days due to “maintenance”. Staff was courteous, smiled and said they would address our concerns but nothing was ever done. They said they were gonna come get our bags for checkout. We waited for 30 mins and no one showed up. We ordered breakfast at 8:30am it showed up at 7:30am with the wrong order. We ordered dinner (after they never booked or reservation) and it was a hr late. The AC didn’t work and the light flicker in the bathroom randomly. We went to the bar that closes at 2, the DJ showed up at 12:30 and ended at 1:15. I moved my coffee table on inch and all four legs collapsed. I reported it and it was removed but wasn’t replaced. Overall that may have been the best option. I swear you can’t make this up. It’s the worst Royalton we’ve even been to and don’t know if we’ll ever go again."
Hodges Bay Resort & Spa, an HQ Luxury Resort & Residences
10/10 Excellent
"I can't say enough about the service and staff. The entire butler staff was so accommodating especially when we dealt with Michael. All our excursions and transportation was handled by the butler staff. This was our second time at Hodges Bay Resort and it was even better than our first time. The food menu was more varied since the last time and we tried many of the items from each menu. Since we had a suite, we loved to order room dining and take our time and relax. My wife was thrilled with the spa which we didn't do last time. I loved that the staff restocked our fridge with water everyday. Great benefit and we gladly accepted not having to get our own bottled water. We went out to Prickly Pear island twice for snorkeling and swimming. It did rain briefly during the middle of the week and luckily it happened between our activities. We would definitely come back again."
"Excellent staffs and the owner was amazing. We absolutely loved that place and we will goes back in the near future. The communication was fast and they’re very helpful especially they goes out their way to made my husband birthday very special and enjoyable thank you so much for all your support and help."
"We've just arrived home after a 10 night stay at the Ocean Spa resort Hotel.
The resort is beautiful.
It has a lovely feel from the moment you arrive.
Its a small hotel but perfect.
It has 2 lovely, very clean beaches and a fabulous big pool.
Loads of lovely comfy sun beds everywhere and plenty of very comfortable shadey places to sit.
The rooms are big, a bit basic but had everything we needed.
They're cleaned to a very high standard everyday & were spotless.
I liked that they have a water station, so not using loads of plastic water bottles.
The one restaurant is under cover but is very open and airy, overlooking the sea...its wooden which has a lovely feel about it.
All the staff are friendly.
The food is a little bit samey but everything is cooked freshly & to a good standard. Its not a buffet which is nice to be served. A bit more effort/imagination is needed with the puddings...
The hotel is a bit isolated.
We didn’t find anywhere else close by to walk to.
We'd booked on a room only basis & planned to eat out but because there wasn't anywhere nearby we upgraded to all inclusive which is much better value!
While away, I had a painful back problem.
I had 2 massages with Hazel, shes fantastic!
Very, very good & made me feel much better.
All in all, we've had a fabulous, tranquil, restful holiday.
Which is exactly what we wanted.

Sandals Grande Antigua - ALL INCLUSIVE Couples Only
10/10 Excellent
"An awesome experience. Staff was exceedingly friendly and helpful. The grounds were beautiful and very clean. Never a problem having access to food and drink...24/7. Always something to do, and I really enjoyed the included snorkeling excursions (3 per day)....just make sure to book early. Same with the a couple of their higher end restaurants....be sure to make a reservation ASAP. Having said that, we were able to have great dining experiences at the other restaurants with no reservation required. All and all, a very memorable vacation. One thing especially that I'd like to emphasize, and that is the friendly and earnest care for the staff would show you at this resort. They're a model of courtesy for us all. Bless them. They work hard to ensure you're enjoying your stay."
