"This is a very nice boutique hotel with several added amenities making it a solid 3-4 star experience. Rooms are walkup no elevator so accept help with bags when offered. The pool is a great way to cool off and the rooms themselves are large and beautiful with teak wood and hardwood floors, sliding doors and nice balcony if you can endure the humidity and heat. The only caution is the hardwoods are slippery in socks! Very slippery. Our rooms were quaint but the overhead AC unit is noticeably older and the heat & humidity +40c made it struggle to cool the rooms. I doubt it ever went down to 24c but it was pleasant enough to sleep. Staff were mostly able to converse in English but everyone treated us like royalty and welcomed us everyday. The experience in Chiang Mai overall was great - as a tourist city Ive always been pleased with restaurants and shops staff quality and care. This hotel stands above my previous experience to Chiang Mai and we would stay here again for sure. Location was close to several nice restaurants too!"

"I had a wonderful stay at Thapae Loft. The hotel itself is beautiful—a stylish, modern boutique oasis tucked away on a quiet side street right in the heart of the Old City. The rooms are clean and incredibly comfortable, the pool is the perfect spot to cool off, and the location near Tha Pae Gate is unbeatable. But what really made my trip unforgettable was the outstanding service. The staff here don't just do their jobs; they truly go above and beyond for their guests. When I was trying to figure out how to book a local excursion, the front desk team went above and beyond to help me and prepare me for this tour!! Every single day, I was greeted with genuine smiles. The team remembered my name, always anticipated what I might need and gave me the best insider recommendations. It is rare to find a hotel where the team is this attentive, warm, and helpful. They made me feel completely at home, and I will absolutely be staying here again next time I'm in Chiang Mai!"
