"This French owned hotel, is clean with very business-like decor. The rooms are comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Its location in Beverly Hills is good for access to Hollywood and the Rodeo Drive area though it is quite far from downtown LA. The swimming pool was closed for renovation when we were there. All in all, and of course depending on your plans, it is a good hotel to base your stay in LA."

"Hard to believe this is a four star hotel. Room looks like it’s never really been cleaned. Lobby and halls smell terrible, like there’s a bad smell trying to cover up with some perfume. 2 of 3 showers I had were ice cold. No soundproofing. Location is only positive. Avoid this one. "

"We were very disappointed to discover the massive construction site abutting the hotel. It looked like a mess. Construction seemed to be going on much of the night. We decided to stay at this hotel because we were impressed by it during a visit years ago. This visit to LA was a special celebratory visit for us and we expected a top-flight experience. This was a disappointment. The staff did say they upgraded our room (appealing), though it still overlooked the construction. Also a complimentary breakfast."
