"No coffee in the rooms only espresso coffee. The bed was terrible for the price of the room. It is not worth it. I would never stay there again plus the refrigerator was broken so they had to go into another room to get a refrigerator. The only thing that was good about it was you were on the beach would not recommend this place to anyone."

"It's your typical kind of outdated motel. Great location. Beach front and a very nice pool. However, the parking is a huge issue. There is twelve spots for twenty four rooms or however, many rooms are there. Cars were double stacked and most of the street is marked for Volusia county beachgoers. So if you park in one of those spots, you will get a ticket. My biggest issue was the usual hum of the refrigerator. The air conditioner unit was essentially a window unit and was very loud. But worked very well. I also had a security light shining right in through my door so I could never tell if it was midnight night or twelve noon. I'd hang two beach towels over the door just to block some of the light. But I only paid $58 for the night. I ended up leaving early because of the parking situation. If you go during the middle of the week, it's probably a very nice place to stay. But on the weekends you're on your own when it comes to the parking!"

"The staff was very friendly. However, when you walk in the building the fragrance was overwhelming. Way to strong of a cleaner or air freshener. Then the smell in our room was awful. I cannot even pinpoint what it could have been, but it was not pleasant. The toilet did not stop running and the room needed a rug or something under the bed also. The metal bed frame on the vinyl floor was loud..every toss and turn the bed squeaked against the floor. Room was fine for a 2 night stay that would have us out of the room for the majority of the day."

"I love Sand Castle at Daytona Beach Shores: Friendly staff, clean rooms, on the beach, walkable streets. I recommend it to anyone who wants to go to the beach and have a quality time with the family and friends."

"Overall i didn't think this property was as good as it was rated. Our room wasnt very clean upon arrival, we had to ask 3 days in a row for house keeping to come and they only delivered towels, no cleaning. They put in a special request for full housekeeping the day before we left (out of 7) Breakfast was just ok, nothing special, typical with limited healthy options,. The Starbucks on site is also only a partial starbucks only doing the basics. The pool is small but overlooks the ocean. Overall not the most kid friendly hotel, no beach sharing options(toys, chairs etc) Pool is open until 10pm but no lights, so not really open til 10 Won't be my first choice next time. "
