4/10
I stayed at the Hampton Inn Daytona Shores–Oceanfront July 16–17, 2025, and unfortunately, my experience did not live up to Hilton standards or the price I paid.
While the inside of the room and bathroom were fairly clean, the entire building—including our room—had a strong musty smell that triggered my allergies. The door was visibly covered in rust and mold, and the ice machine was so dirty I didn’t feel comfortable using it.
The pool was filled with beach sand, seashells, and rocks, and beach access was completely closed. We were told to walk through the building next door (which was under construction) to reach the beach—very inconvenient. The ocean view was disappointing due to large sinkholes in the parking area, which felt unsafe.
Overflow parking was across a busy intersection, and crossing it on foot felt very dangerous. Breakfast was decent, but juice was already out by 7:30 AM on our first morning. On a positive note, the staff was friendly and helpful, which I truly appreciated.
This was not a budget hotel, so I expected better quality and maintenance. I’ve always trusted Hilton, but this property did not meet those expectations. I’ve attached photos to give a better sense of the conditions.
