"I reserved a room through Expedia and arrived around 3:30 PM, after the stated 3:00 PM check-in time. When I checked in, everything initially seemed fine and I was given a room key. However, when I entered the room, it was completely unacceptable. The room smelled horrible, housekeeping clearly had not been done, the room was messy, and it even appeared to have bugs. I immediately went back to the lobby to request a full refund because the condition of the room was unacceptable and unsanitary. Unfortunately, the staff member told me there was nothing they could do and that I had to contact Expedia since I booked through them. This experience was extremely disappointing and stressful after traveling. Guests should not be checked into rooms that are not cleaned or ready, especially after official check-in time."
