"Lovely hotel in a fabulous setting. The staff were really nice and could not do enough to make you feel welcome. The food on the main restaurant was excellent but the brasserie was poor (pub food at hotel prices and poorly presented). Overall we would highly recommend the hotel. Unfortunately Expedia cooked up the booking in the wrong name but the hotel staff soon sorted it out."

"We have enjoyed a fantastic 2 night stay, the location was spot on only 2 minutes to Lake Windermere and the ferry landing point. Colin is the perfect host, very attentive, knowledgeable of the area and looked after us well. Breakfast was a lovely; full English in a cosy setting. The room was fine with all amenities. It was our birthdays whilst there and Colin decorated the room, these touches are most appreciated. Definitely recommend 10/10"
