"We had a great time at Riu Aquarelle. The property is relatively new and has everything you need for a relaxing vacation: truly attentive staff, beautiful beach, pools for everyone, great and varied food, nighttime shows, fun games everywhere - and no time share pitch (thank you!) Of course, the island is still rebuilding but you could not tell from just the hotel. The only 3 things of note for other families: - the hotel IS kid friendly, but it's also heavy on partying. It can get loud in the afternoon and at night with parties well past bedtime. - the evening shows are hit or miss and start a bit late for kids. There was a fabulous ballet/accro show in the pool that was not advertised anywhere so we found it by chance. - I didn't fully understand whether room cleaning was daily but if you put the tag on your door, they do come. Overall, highly recommend this hotel and a big thank you to everyone who works there: they're truly friendly, kind and super attentive. Plus they have great songs all the time!"

"It is excellent Resort, well maintain, excellent breakfast menu. Great and helpful stuff.. Lunch food may be better quality. Also French Restaurant used to be much better last year. Pools are perfect. There are always clean towels available. I liked art classes and water aerobic classes."

"Just depend of the unit they put you in. Nightmare beginning. TV didn't work. Floor was rough and discolored. Not like the first time I had the deluxe suite. However I'm going to give them grace I think they were fully booked. Tutor credit they did correct the problem with the TV and always the staff is accommodating."

"Our stay was awesome amenities and staff were phenomenal. We give a big shout to the dining staff. One staff person in particular Ms Nafiesca her beautiful warm smile professional demeanor and helpful spirt made our trip that much more enjoyable & memorable. We will definitely return."
