We got the room with no A/C in it, just a big fan, and no private bathroom either. Which we didn't mind, as we just needed a place to sleep in. Safe parking for our car, the pool and the public bathroom were clean.
It's 3 blocks away from Cocori, a Super 24 convenient store 2 blocks away. We left the car in the hotel and walked everywhere we needed.
We didn't get to meet the owner, just the lady that cleans the place. She showed us to our cabin where we found a clean room, two set of towels. There was no issue leaving our stuff there as we could lock the cabin door.
Very close to the beach and an affordable alternative to hostels or more expensive hotels. I only have a couple small criticisms like needing more paving stones and hooks in the shower. Also never got to meet the owners. Lastly you pay cash when you get there. I assumed I paid Expedia when I booked and this led to a big misunderstanding. That was likely Expedia's fault for not alerting me to this.
Es muy bonito y limpio. Realmente es casi como quedarse en un boungalou solos. El diseño es bonito y es apto para niños (aunque creo que solo hay habitaciones de 1 cama doble). Muy recomendado para ir a disfrutar en paz
Classic bait and switch. For starters $60 is high for a room in Guatemala, so I was expecting something nice. The room that they had for me had a mattress on the floor, a fan on the wall and not a stick of furniture. They offered me a better room for an upcharge of $15. It had a bedframe with a shelf on each side that served as a night stand and was air conditioned. 4 units shared an outdoor bathroom that was pretty rough and had a cold water shower. The bathroom sink had a garden spigot coming out of a PVC pipe for a faucet. WiFi does not work in the rooms and you have to be in the common area to use it. One other deception is the first photograph you see shows a really cool thatched roof tower. It belongs to the property next door. There are better places to stay.
