I don't think the owners (especially the wife, Clara) realises they are in the hospitality business.
- Paid for a sea view and did not receive it. Clara blamed expedia.
- Not even the bare minimum is provided in the apartment (which was on expedia as an aparthotel-it definitely isn't).
- Wasn't cleaned at all during our stay, in fact we had to clean the whole apartment 'for inspection' before we left.
- oven but no oven gloves.
- no tea towels.
- had to buy toilet roll, bin bags, washing up sponges. Also had to request a kettle as there wasn't one (Clara did get us one from the Hotel straight away).
- the electric went out completely, twice.
-the water tank in the bathroom dripped excessively onto the toilet seat after showers (this they already knew about when we told them but it wasn't mentioned to us when being shown around).
- you have to hire bedlinen and towels if you don't bring your own. This was provided for us for compensation for the non sea view room although I had already bought my own bed linen so not really compensation. The linens are not changed at all so after 9 days they were a bit gross.
- Waited at least 5 minutes at reception while Clara finished up her personal call (where we were not acknowledged and the call was not rushed to be finished).
- Took a copy of my credit card as did not have cash to leave a deposit. After checking out I asked for the copy to take home and shred. I got a 'yes sir' salute which I found unbelievably rude.
