Highly recommend!!

Had a fantastic stay here! Everyone was incredibly friendly, and the hotel was really cozy. The views from the room were stunning, but even if your room doesn't face the hills, there are benches and tables by reception where you can sit and enjoy it. Siena is an awesome place with tons to see, but if I could do it again, I'd book an additional day couple days just for relaxing and enjoying the Tuscan atmosphere. This hotel is the perfect place to do that.

As other reviewers said, walls are thin and you hear noises from rooms around you. The space is tiny, shower is a cubicle it would be better the box wasn't there at all. But nice views and good location if you come by car as it saves you parking

Great property with very comfortable bed. Outstanding location that is very walkable into Sienna. Their restaurant was closed, but offered recommendations to wonderful locations to eat nearby.

Great stay, would stay again

Great little hotel with fantastic view and easily walkable into Siena. Hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. Stayed one night and loved it so much we came back and stayed another night.

Struttura con parcheggio gratuito e quindi con la possibilità di vedere Siena senza spostarsi con la macchina! Occorre una passeggiata di 15 minuti per arrivare dentro le mura.Camera molto spaziosa ma senza frigo!Personale gentile! Se dovessi cercare una nota negativa, consiglierei una maggiore pulizia dei pavimenti.

Very cute and romantic hotel. The view is beautiful. Only 15 min by feet to Siena. We loved it, would definitely recommend.

Struttura comodissima per raggiungere il centro di Siena. Ottimale per chi viaggia in auto siccome ha a disposizione un parcheggio privato. Camera pulita, calda e accogliente. L'hotel si trova in buona posizione da dove è possibile godere di un'ottima vista. Risulta comodo per raggiungere a piedi il centro della città distante poco più di un km, dispone di parcheggio per l'auto e il personale è molto gentile. La stanza dove ho alloggiato è un po' piccola ma adeguata al prezzo pagato.

As we were staying longer than others we were given a secluded room but the mattress did not suit me.The staff were very obliging in giving us a choice of other rooms . Great views from the windows and balcony with many seating areas. I stayed here several years ago and the facilities have been expanded. The breakfast, however, wasn't that good as the quality of the food was not commensurate with the other facilities.

Serenity in Siena

Great hotel! The rooms were simple, clean, and more than adequate. The parking was very good. The hotel is on a busy Siena street close to all the sites but once you enter the drive you are looking at a serene and spectacular landscape with no noise from this busy and bustling city.

Porta de Roma was a true gem. The hotel was everything it seems and beyond. The reception desk was incredibly friendly and made sure to tell us all about Sienna and the best spots. The breakfast area was so adorable and thoughtfully set up. You can walk into the main square of Sienna within 10 minutes. Amazing experience.

Schönes Hotel in ruhiger Lage

Die Lage des Hotels hat uns sehr gut gefallen; das Zimmer war klein aber sauber. Aus dem Fenster hatten wir eine wunderschöne Aussicht auf die Landschaft. Das Frühstück war gut wurde auf einer höher gelegenen Terrasse in einem kleinen Garten serviert, was uns gut gefallen hat. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Estadia péssima.

Cheguei ao hotel e não tinha ar condicionado no quarto. Fique atento ao fazer sua reserva se o quarto é standard. Só soube no lugar que esses não tem ar e o hotel estava lotado sem possibilidade de mudança.

Bellissima location

Ottima location, caratteristica, tranquillissima, piuttosto romantica, con bella vista sulla campagna senese. Fondamentale il parcheggio annesso all'albergo. Posizione perfetta per raggiungere il centro a piedi in meno di 20 minuti con tutta calma. Fermata dell'autobus difronte all'albergo in caso di necessità. Pulito e fresco anche in questa estate torrida. Camera ampia con grande bagno Conduzione professionale e gentilissima. Molta disponibilità ad ogni richiesta. Prezzi onesti e chiari. Un posto dove tornare con fiducia

Hot water, a bed, and close to th city center

The hotel is quite basic but met our needs and expectations fully. We arrived in the afternoon and left early the following morning so weren’t looking for a five star experience.

Parcheggio gratis a Siena!

Ottima la possibilita di avere il parcheggio gratuito in un posto come Siena dove altrimenti si spende circa 25 euro al giorno, oltre alla vicinanza a Porta Romana che consente in pochi minuti di essere al centro. Se non prendete almeno camera superior non avrete l'aria condizionata e comunque nel nostro caso, puntava direttamente sul letto (non proprio il massimo del comfort): Personale gentile e disponibile. Wifi con tre linee ma nessuna di queste esente da pecche, nonostante il reset da loro fatto (nella lobby funziona meglio). Possibilità di jacuzzi a pagamento. Lo consiglio, soprattutto se venite in macchina.

Esse hotel não é o mais próximo das atrações de Siena (uns 20 minutos andando), mas tem como vantagens um bom café da manhã, o estacionamento gratuito e uma paisagem bacana. O resto conforme esperado.

Great Siena Stopover

The hotel is incredible, large spacious room, great views and excellent price. The breakfast was lovely with a large variety and great service. I cannot fault the hotel or it service in anyway. If you want a great stay close to the centre of Siena make this your stop

Nice hotel in great position but basic rooms

Lovely building in lovely position, a shortish walk fro the centre & free parking onsite. Lorenzo on the desk was extremely helpful with advice & restaurant recommendations. The room was clean but in need of updating - especially the rather basic shower! Breakfast was very basic but that’s normal in Italy I suppose, with lots of sweet cakes etc but very limited bread/cheese etc. I thought the hotel was overpriced for what we got but Siena is pricey anyway and was among the cheaper we researched!!!

The hotel is very well located and it‘s view beautiful. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel itself needs a total makeover. There is no aircondition in the room which so far is no problem, but then it would be useful to have moscito-protection infront of the window. The bathroom had mildow in several corners and in the showering . Last, and that was definitely the worst, was my total worn out mattress so I could feel every button of it all night long and in the morning I had an eczema.

Great location

Hotel Porta Romana is a 3* hotel with free parking located just outside the city walls (and the ZTL). The centre is about a 15 minute walk up a gentle slope. There is a breakfast room, but no restaurant. It has outstanding views from the terrace and many rooms of the rolling countryside. Friendly, helpful staff. Would return 

Localização mto boa e confortável

Muito bom o hotel, aliás excelente. Mto perto da porta Romana, tem estacionamento incluso e um ótimo café da manhã. As acomodações do hotel São excelentes, equipe do hotel muito prestativa. Tem uma vista fantástica pra Toscana, tem até um pequeno terraço pra tomar um vinho pra essa vista. Vale muito a pena ficar neste hotel.

Très bien.

Super emplacement à quelques minutes à pied du centre ville. Chambre double très spacieuse. Accueil charmant. On Nous a donné toute les informations nécessaires pour bien visiter la ville et même pour le reste de notre riad trip. Bon petit déjeuner sous la véranda.

Nice hotel, located near old city (walkable). Beautiful sight of the fields.
