"We loved Shutters on the Banks and will stay there again when in the area. The staff was very welcoming and helpful in giving us information about the area. The room was comfortable with beautiful decor. Breakfast was very good and the dining area very well-done and comfortable. The balcony right off our room allowed us to drink our morning coffee while watching the sun-rise. We then took a walk to the beach, then enjoyed the hot-tub and pool. Great location with access to popular sites. "

It also would not adjust properly through all of the available settings. The room also had enough space for a small two-person table, which would have been a nice addition for eating meals or having coffee in the morning. "Seemingly family ran. All the flooring and fixtures throughout this hotel are brand new.. The gym is small and the room was small but new and clean. Bed was comfortable. Linens were nice and shower pressure was great.. worth the money we paid to stay there."

"Disappointed. The property needs a little TLC. Abandoned flower pots greet you at the front entrance along with overgrown trees overlooking the water. The room was clean and comfortable, especially the Tempur-pedic mattress. The toilet runs for 20 minutes each time you use it. Nothing has been upgraded in many years but if you are looking for a quiet place to read a book on the porch, this is the place. It would have been nice to smell coffee brewing in the dining room but not available. Just...
