"Close to the airport but we were not aware of any noise from the planes. The hotel was clean. The staff were very helpful and friendly . There was a wide choice of hot and cold dishes for breakfast . Bar food was equally good and served quickly despite the number of people there . The beds were comfortable, the shower was a good strength and tea and coffee was available in the room."

"Disappointing. On arrival to the room, there was a distinct musty smell. Not pleasant and still present after opening the windows. No WiFi in the room. Breakfast was almost non existent. For a pub/hotel that promotes its food service and quality, a couple of boxes of cereal and a few miniature pastries was not what was expected or advised. "I absolutely detested the evening meal service available because it was premised on a "minimal waiter/waitress service model. The idea was that you order and pay for your meal at the bar and it is brought to your numbered table when ready by the same staff member. The problem comes when you order something else, an extra glass of wine in my case.Waitress said I either had to interrupt my meal and walk to the bar and order and pay for the extra glass of wine ( which is what she really wanted me...

"Bed was comfortable with good pillows. Bed linen felt lovely. Room was clean. AC was not efficient ( on a hot night). Carpet on corridor to rooms on GF, looked and felt like it had seen better days."

"When you hear the expression you get what you pay for this was this hotel! Nothing drastically wrong with it but it’s dated. Bathroom was very dated. Bed was uncomfortable, pillows lovely though. Parking excellent. Room was very hot but it was during a heat wave ! If you’re looking for a cheap stay it’s perfect, if you’re looking for a luxury stay go somewhere else!"

"The breakfast was worth having and served 6-10 which was ideal. The accommodation was quite noisy being next to a main road with traffic most of the day and early morning. For anyone visiting with children I would take an extension lead as not enough sockets for the gadgets they might have."

Despite there being no air conditioning the room had a patio door which once open cooled the room. "The rooms aren't actually in/ above the pub, there is a separate building out the back with the rooms. The building isn't anywhere near as attractive at the pub! I was a little disappointed as it was a birthday present to go to The Henry Moore Foundation, dinner and stay over. The rooms are nice, we had a king room and the bed was huge and comfy- no complaints about the rooms themselves, other than they were very hot. I would stay again if in the area, but not as a special occasion."

"Staff member Gabriel was amazing on the night shift! We had just come back from Wembley and with the trains being delayed the food we had ordered arrived at the hotel before we did! However, when we did arrive, Gabriel had accepted the order for us, kept it safe and provided us with some ice so we could have cold water to drink given it was a hot night. We are so grateful to Gabriel and his help, he is a testament to your hotel."
