"We booked a two-night stay at The Montagu Arms to celebrate our first wedding anniversary, so this was a special occasion for us. I would first like to say that every member of staff we encountered was friendly, welcoming and professional throughout our stay. Unfortunately, the accommodation itself fell well below our expectations. "Came here for a wedding. Flooring ont he ground floor meant a sewage smell Throughout the main bedrooms. Was not what was expected for money paid sadly."

"Lobby and restaurants were great. Food for breakfast was very good. Rooms and hallways were very poorly maintained. We had water coming through the floor and they did switch rooms for us. Tub was so bad wife wouldn’t take a bath in it. Very disappointing for the price we paid. Pool area and changing rooms were extremely poorly maintained."

"The location of the hotel was perfect with views of the harbour and the lymington sea water baths are in walking distance . The hotel has free parking ,staff are friendly and helpfull. Our room was very clean and of a high standard . There was a good selection for breakfast to suit all tastes. We had a very enjoyable stay at the Mayflower hotel."

"We had a lovely stay at the chequers Inn, Rookley. The staff were great, couldn't do enough for us."

"Small but clean rooms Elevator is available and parking is decent. Breakfast is available and OK. No AC in the rooms but can open the window slightly. Beds are not the most comfortable but manageable for a short stay."

"Nice welcome from Yas. Room was clean, comfortable and welcoming. A/C in room was much appreciated. Tea, coffee making facilities and welcome biscuits a nice touch. Staff friendly. Free parking is available on 1st come basis with 5 slots available, otherwise it's street parking nearby. Only downside of our allocated 1st floor room was being at front of property and road traffic noise wasn't great for sleeping. Good location for walking to town centre and local amenities."

"Room was comfortable and clean. Doors tend to slam so you can have noisy neighbours. Garden was big and plenty of seating but needs some tlc and more kids stuff. Food was average at best. Some staff were great, some need more training. Not sure I’d stay again."

"Was in London but wanted to be closer to the cruise lines. Stayed one day and it was perfect. Next to the cruise line, a big mall and restaurants. The staff were friendly, the room was nice and roomy, king bed. Would definitely stay again."

"The staff were helpful as we arrived & departed early and allowed us to leave our bags in the office. The bedroom was pretty modern and well kitted out but the bathroom was rather tired and needs updating. They have live music till late in a Friday & Saturday night which didn’t bother us but just an FYI. Overall good experience & would recommend."

"Great place to stay before or after cruise"

"Very comfortable full king bed, working AC, pool and hot tub, on site bar. What’s not to like? Our window faced the roof over the reception area, but I’m sure it was better than facing the busy road. I works have preferred a stand up shower to a tub/shower (slippery getting in and out)."

"Lounge & restaurant were ok. Room was small & found beds to be too soft kept sliding off on one side. Room had two single beds & we had wanted a queen or king."
