The Hotel has a nightclub under one part which is not owned by the hotel. I was kept awake until 4am the first night, and 3am the second night. When I asked to move rooms the staff apologised, it is a known issue and effects the entire hotel... I have no idea how you can continue to rent rooms in a hotel where the guests can't sleep... We were moved to the far end of the hotel... and I was still forced to sleep with headphones on. The only saving grace of this hotel is the very nice staff, otherwise it would be a total write off... I can't stress how bad the noise problem is, I will never stay here again and our local friends will never recommend it again... absolutely awful experience.

Io e la mia compagna abbiamo deciso di regalarci un capodanno in montagna e abbiamo scelto di alloggiare presso il Grand Hotel Sestriere. La struttura è molto grande e all’interno davvero bella. La nostra stanza, piccola ma molto accogliente e sempre pulitissima, era dotata di tutti i comfort. Il bagno ben riscaldato (cosa molto importante nei periodi invernali), dotata di doccia e vasca idromassaggio (con nostra grande piacevole sorpresa). La struttura offre tutti i servizi dedicati a sciatori, bus navetta e locale riscaldato con armadietti per deposito attrezzature. All’interno si trova una piccola SPA, che noi però non abbiamo utilizzato, prezzi un po’ alti. Pecca per una struttura 4 stelle era la colazione. In una struttura del genere, io mi aspetto un bar dedicato dove mi vengano fornite le bevande per la colazione, non due macchinette automatiche con un caffè cattivissimo. Sempre in merito la colazione, il buffet comprendeva ogni cosa, nulla da dire, ma la qualità era bassa. La struttura ha tre punti ristoro, tra cui una pizzeria/griglieria, qui il giudizio è positivo, pizza molto buona e la grigliata della mia compagna fatta bene. Nel complesso io ci tornerei volentieri e la consiglierei anche ad amici, noi siamo stati molto bene. Da migliorare la colazione, per il resto tutto ok. Alessandro

Piękny, stylowy hotel. Przemiła obsługa. Otrzymaliśmy bezpłatny upgrade do pokoju „Armin room” z pięknym widokiem na góry. Super! Jedyny mały minus za narciarnie: mała i bez suszarek na buty. Reszta -przede wszystkim obsługa - wielki „+” Wyjeżdżaliśmy o 3 w nocy i przygotowali package breakfast a Pan na recepcji zrobił nam kawę :) Dziękujemy

L'albergo, dal nome altisonante "Grand Hotel" è in realtà una struttura vecchia e male conservata. Si vedono rattoppi ovunque fatti con legno di scarso pregio e ancora peggio assemblati. Le camere sono vecchie, almeno quella che mi è stata assegnata, ed il bagno era in condizioni scadenti e non funzionava l'aspiratore. Listelli di legno con chiodi sporgenti, maniglie delle finestre montate al contrario, pulizie sotto il letto non fatte nemmeno prima dell'arrivo. L'albergo ha conosciuto sicuramente momenti migliori. A parte la graziosa Paola della reception, il rimanente personale non mi è sembrato all'altezza. Il servizio navetta cessa alle cinque, quindi in contemporanea con la chiusura degli impianti ed andrebbe prolungato almeno di 30 minuti.

hotel nel complesso buono

sono stato ospite del grandhotel Sestriere da un Venerdì ad un Lunedì del Marzo 2015. Nel complesso non ci sono enormi rilievi da muovere, anzi avevo letto giudizi negativi sul personale e le camere, in entrambi i casi ho trovato gentilezza e la Junior suite a noi riservata era di ottimo livello. Buono e puntuale il servizio navetta da e per le piste che sono comunque raggiungibile anche a piedi. L'unica pecca e' legata alla ristorazione che è decisamente migliorabile. Dalla colazione alla cena ho sempre riscontrato pecche che denotano per me la mancanza di una guida in quell'area. Non amo il buffet ma se si vuole perseguire quella strada il livello per un 4 stelle deve essere decisamente più alto in varietà ed idee. A colazione i cibi che vanno per la maggiore si sanno e per questo difficilmente in un ambiente organizzato finiscono ma quand'anche finissero verrebbero rapidamente rimpiazzate. Il giudizio resta comunque buono.

Heating and noise

Room and breakfast were good. Nice view over the balcony. Walkable distance to ski lifts. However, and this is a persistent problem with this hotel - noise from the night club, located in the same building basement. You cannot hear the music, but bits and people talking outside the club. It opens almost everyday. So take ear plugs. Also, room and corridors were too hot and air too dry, provided that outside was +18 (March) they have not adjusted the heating.

Looked after well at this hotel.

On arrival we were upgraded to a room with a balcony. Staff in the bar looked after us well with snacks with our evening aperitifs. The free hotel shuttle bus was excellent - coming out to find us when we were a little stuck. Good condition room - a bit hot for our liking (radiator valve broken) , but clean and comfortable. Reasonably good choice at breakfast. Spa a pleasant extra. Would stay there again.

Grand Hotel Sestriere - accogliente e tipico

Bella l'atmosfera complessiva tipicamente montanara. Il bel camino sospeso, l'arredamento in legno e pietra e un fornitissimo bar nella hall rendono subito molto accogliente quest'hotel. La camera richiesta era una superior rinnovata (pagata di più) che però in realtà aveva il bagno piuttosto freddo e la doccia non ben funzionante. Per il resto l'esperienza è stata positiva.

Disappointing in every respect except for location

This hotel was easily the worst value of any hotel I have ever stayed at, and definitely the most disappointing overall. Aside from the location, it has nothing going for it. The condition of the hotel itself is tired, the service marginal, and the food barely edible. A few other highlights from our stay: a duvet that had a crusty spot (on the side facing the bed, to boot!), flashing holiday decorations that were inexplicably placed right across our window and were left on all day and night, room service that was purely theoretical, a piece of gum stuck to the inside of our toilet bowl and not removed for the duration of our stay, a non-working safe, and the lack of a porter for bags. I could go on, but this is probably enough to give a good idea of our experience.

hotel is maintained very bad. it looks like it was a good hotel 20 years ago, and since it is terrible. for example - bathroom is worst that any 2 star hotel i've ever been to .
