"repeated warm water issues, people on the ground try to be helpful, management just waits until you are gone. "Great time was spent at the Ikoma Bush Camp. Located just outside the Ikoma Gate, it was a great location to the Serengeti National Park. "Overpriced substandard facilities. Freezing cold bedroom. Ugly architecture, dark and dingy. Dirty dark and cold bathroom. Window stained with dead bugs and dust. No heaters to compensate. Very depressing. No hot water. We were forced to to ask them to boil water and put it into buckets in order to wash ourselves by using an empty margarine container. Unheard of when we have paid £900 to be in this tacky facility worthy of a YMCA student accommodation Location of the property is very bad....

"We stayed for 2 nights in July. Anantya Serengeti was so well maintained and clean. The hotel was situated in a beautiful location, which encouraged animals to roam the grounds. The first night, we encountered two buffalos. The second night, a family of thirty over elephants walked infront of our room. The bedrooms were spaced out to give privacy. The breakfasts and dinners were delicious, however the packed lunches were not good. One incident marred our stay, where the rangers had set fire to the land opposite the lodge. Smoke engulfed the entire property for a few hours from dinner to midnight. This caused me an allergic reaction to the smoke, which entered the tent. The hotel staff and operations manager had to frantically ensure the fire did not spread to the hotel. Better coordination with the rangers should be done in the future. Any fires should be done during the day when all guests are away."
