The host was very nice and friendly; she came out to help us with things we could have read in the info packet she’d emailed, but she didn’t display the least bit of annoyance. "Great little stopover near to where we used you live. Room was great and a good size and breakfast was fab."

"The room was clean and the shower worked well (although personal preference I wasn't a fan of the shower curtain!). They provided a fan in the room which was needed with the heat. All the staff were lovely and they even carried our big suitcase up the stairs for us! Enjoyed are stay and located in a wonderful location."

Arrived at 3pm as on booking form door lockked all in darkness no one around. 2. 5 pm a lady turned up unlocked and let us in and booked in and showed us to the room, told us breakfast times but no evening meals on monday or tuesday. "Staff went out of their way to provide an excellent service and deal with queries, all of them, and we spoke to about six during our 3 night stay. Wi-Fi was a problem however, partly due to local geography. Would it not be simple just to put in an ID and a password which could be contained in room info? Breakfast was excellent, as was the restaurant but it was a surprise not to have a "help yourself" area with cereal, yoghourt, fruit and juices for those who do not want a cooked breakfast. I...

"Really quaint old inn with lots of exposed stone walls & beams. Staff were super friendly & helpful - really warm welcome & nothing was too much trouble. Bed very comfortable & the small double room I had was perfect just for me. Food in the restaurant was delicious & there was a good choice. Breakfast plentiful, well presented & hearty. Will be staying there again on my way to Devon"
