"The Riffle Volunteer, is a lovely old English Pub, The Manager, and The Staff, are Fantastic!! And went above and beyond. The Rooms are Clean, but basic and could do with a lick of paint to freshen their up. But apart from that it's a charming little tradition pub. The outside garden is lovely, and there is parking, but it's a small car park. But i loved it. "

"Staff were polite and very welcoming. I stayed on a Sunday and arrived after 18.30. I parked in the Water Gardens which is less then a 5 minute walk and paid 50 pence for overnight parking."

"This was very much a last minute job, we were travelling home from 2 days in that London and were worn-out. This was in fact the only place we could find that wasn't either booked up or cost outrageous money. Although, the directions link on the Expedia app took us to the middle of nowhere so we had to phone the lovely people at the hotel for help. When we got there we were surprised it was a much bigger and better place than we expected. Would definitely go again."

"Excellent, friendly staff. Lovely large room, with grear amenities. Breakfast was fantastic - recommend the Eggs Royale!"

"The Pub was a grade 2 listed building which was a 1700 era the best way to describe it is Quirky! . The internal pub area was full of history and upstairs the rooms fixtures and fitting new with the decoration being fresh but sympathetic to the age of the building. the food was good Pub Grub and the cooked breakfast was great Full English or Full Scottish Both filling and well cooked, served piping hot! Lovely outside area and caters for Dogs. "

"Stayed at the Woodland lodge on Saturday night, as I was going to a family party. On the the room was meant to be available from 3pm, but was actually available at midday which was brilliant. On arrival I found the place was clean and tidy. There was a fridge which I wasn’t expecting which is perfect in the summer for keep drinks cold. Bed was very comfortable and I had a great nights sleep Would definitely stay here again "

"First and foremost…the staff…hands down the most kindest and welcoming! I forgot the name of the lady that helped us check-in, but she was so warm and bubbly it helped calm our nerves as we had a very chaotic day and were so ready to sleep! And Claire who we saw the next day, was so caring I had not brought sanitary pads with me on my trip and it was kind of her that she lent me her own! "After a day of travel nice to stop at the end of the day. Checkin was quick and easy. Travelling from Australia,, surprised the room didn’t have a bar fridge ( I didn’t check if in room details- lesson for me). I had the impression there was a hotel carpark . The carpark is part of the main carpark that includes a mini shopping centre- mainly fast food outlets. The first 2 hours free, but then 5gbp. It was an extra cost I hadn’t realised.
