Great hotel and super nice staff!

We were very happy with our stay at Hotel La Margherita. The staff was wonderful, they were super nice and helpful. The hotel is very close to the bus stop which makes it easy to get to/from Amalfi centre. Pool is in another building about 100-200 meters away. Considering the price of this hotel it was great value!

A wonderfully small and cosy hotel with lovely and attentive staff. The breakfast each morning was delicious. The staff were always happy to help and answer any questions on the area. The pool area was stunning with beautiful views. A truly relaxing experience. I will definitely be returning.

Please note this hotel (La Margherita) does not exist. They will put you in another hotel which is further down the road with a steep hill and many stairs. Difficult to get there without a car. I saw this other hotel (Villa Guisseppina) on Expedia but did not book it because of how difficult it is to get to on foot. Only to arrive in Italy and still be placed in the very same hotel that we tried to avoid. A Taxi is only available for a minimum of 70 euro to bring you to the bottom of the mountain. If you are not intending to hike to and from your hotel every day or if you have any physical/health issues I would avoid booking this hotel. If not, it is a great place to stay with nice staff. It is located in a less touristy area which can be a plus. It can be a nice and enjoyable stay just note, you are booking Hotel Villa Guiseppina. Check the fotos on that hotel listing.

Our stay at Hotel La Margherita was one of the most memorable during our Italian trip. Carla is a fantastic host, she makes guests feel seen and clearly likes to give you the right advice for a lovely stay and give you a warm welcome. She was absolutely amazing, in that typically Italian way of communicating of hers! Furthermore, our hotel room and the breakfast room had a relaxing view on the sea and valley between Scala (where you will find 2 or 3 cute restaurants, a bar and a pharmacy) and Ravello (famous for music, with a lovely square with restaurants and some nice experiences, like the Villa Cimbrone Gardens where the “Madeira” scenes of the Sissi movies were recorded). We really appreciated that calm location. La Margherita doesn’t have a lot of extra services, but guests can enjoy the pool and parking from the Villa Giuseppina hotel, which is about 3 minutes walking. We could highly recommend that restaurant with its lovely view. Don’t expect the most modern infrastructure, for instance some airconditioning in the breakfast room would be nice. The room itself was small, yet comfortable with a cute little terrace with view on the surroundings. Unfortunately, we had a room on the ground floor and without any elevator, we needed to carry our suitcases at least three floors down and up again in the very hot August temperatures. So our recommendation is to pack lightly or ask for a room with a better location. All in all, it was a lovely stay with very friendly staff!

Hotel was very dated, the television was very small. The Queen bed was actually two twin beds pushed together. I felt the springs from the mattress pressing into my back. During the late hours, don’t expect to get any snacks or beverages because everything is closed. I recommend getting some vending machines at the very least.

Fantastic stay with the best staff

Fantastic hotel with the most welcoming staff it’s a family who runs the place and they are really helpful and kind. Not like a lot of other places we been to around the area. The view from the rooms are amazing better than Ravello or amalfi.

Beautifullly located, overlooking Ravello, very friendly staff, easy to park. Walking distance from very charming Ravello and Villa Rufolo. Basic breakfast, but view and staff are very nice. Less handy is the mountain road to the coast. But that goes for the whole off the Amalfi coast when you drive yourself

Had an amazing time! We loved the views and the staff was so kind and helpful. It was a little bit far from the beaches and busier area but we made it work. The rooms could use some upgrading- pillows and mattress were a hit worn. But the overall experience was so lovely! Would go back again!

Loved our stay here! Quiet and beautiful town 15 min walk outside of Ravello with great dining options. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was big and beautiful with amazing view! Breakfast was simple but that’s all we expected for a 3 star hotel. Bus to Amalfi comes about every 30 minutes and takes about 40 mins! Would return loved it!

Everything about this property was amazing! From the moment we arrived I felt at home.Very convenient location that made getting around the Amalfi Coast easy. If you are looking for something convenient and quiet look no further! You’ll wake up every morning and have breakfast with an amazing view. Best authentic experience of Italy

The best hotel experience on the Amalfi coast. We had such an authentic experience of Italy in little Scala and our hotel was no exception. We were made to feel so welcome by Anna-Maria and everyone working there. They all felt like a family we got to be a part of. The room was intimate with a spacious balcony with incredible mountain views. We thoroughly enjoyed the homemade breakfast at the terrace in the mornings with lots of options. Pool area was beautiful and restaurant made the best food we ate during our time in Italy. Although the location is definitely challenging to get to, and maybe not optimal if you want to explore lots of different towns on the coast, for us it's worth it and we already want to plan to come back in a soon future. Thank you once again for a magical visit.
