Hotel is in a really nice spot where you can get a great view of Sasebo city. I was expecting more upscale based off the outside of the hotel but the rooms were more so old fashioned. However the facility is clean.
I have often visited this hotel for work, as the minister for their wedding chapel, but this was the first time I stayed as a guest.
The onsite onsen is very niceand the views over Sasebo City and the 99 Islands group is amazing from just about anywhere in the hitel.
Driving up the hill via very narrow winding road was challenging but the view from the hotel was very nice. Very reasonable rate for a nice room and full breakfast. No in room coffee but had a machine that made coffee in the lobby for 200 yen per cup.
This was a perfect experience of great service, good dining, a quiet beautiful location next to a national park and unbelievable views from the top of a mountain overlooking the city, harbor and 99 islands.
Very nice and cozy hotel with spectacular view over Sasebo.
The hotel is a must for wedding parties and seems built specifically for that purpose.
Standard room are wide enough compared to Japanese standard. We enjoyed the nice and well mantained park just a few step away from the hotel.
A comfortable 20 min. free shuttle bus ride from/to Sasebo railway station runs from early morning to night. Just get out from Sasebo harbour’s side (Minato’s exit) turn left and walk for 20 meters. You will find a sign showing shuttle bus schedule.
The only thing I dislike was the carpet smell. May be they need to keep the windows in rooms and corridors more opened?
