"Fabulous hotel in the most perfect location, amazing facilities, incredible staff. We came for a wedding and to catch up with family and friends . The food was outstanding for the wedding and breakfast and evening dinner, we booked half board and it was worth it. The pools and gardens were perfect and you have the public lido in front of the hotel which we highly recommend, you can snorkel in crystal clear waters. Special mentions to the pool cafe staff who were beyond welcoming, the food is fabulous and the cocktails too. The reception staff were also amazing , Mark, Maria, Phillipe some of the waiting staff, omelette chefs who are incredible at breakfast ....3 pans at a time and a huge queue because they are cooked to perfection. The rooms were kept clean and everything fresh daily. The walk to Funchal is 25 minutes downhill and local buses easily accessible . Do explore this beautiful island if you come here and do a madeira safari ."

"Fantastic hotel and stay. All staff members were extremely friendly and helpful. I was even surprised with a cake on my birthday :). The hotel bars and breakfast were all great. There are many restaurants within walking distance and there are also several restaurants at the hotel although I did not visit those. The pools are very nice, the ocean access is great for an island with few beaches, and the ocean views are lovely. There is music every night at the bar and plenty to do at the hotel! The room itself was very clean and refreshed frequently. This is a 5 star hotel for a reason"

"Beautiful views from virtually everywhere on the property. Great location close to downtown Funchal, but far enough away for the area to feel quiet and calm. Nice restaurants in the vicinity. The hotel staff were excellent! Professional, friendly, and helpful. Received an upgrade at check-in to a fantastic room with an even more amazing private deck overlooking the Atlantic. Buffet breakfast was good. Overall, the property was great, hated to leave."
