"Convenient location that is walkable to old town, bars, shopping, and a huge public parking lot. Clean room, wifi worked great, breakfast was wonderful, front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Quiet at night with some staff noise outside our window in the morning. Beautiful yellow building and breakfast room. I’d stay here again and recommend to others."

"Roots hotel was excellent!! We loved the clean, comfortable, well maintained property with a great balcony, kitchenette, quiet, small but clean bath, best sleep in 3 weeks! Location was perfect for train station and center city, Close to boat tour meeting spots, restaurants, laundry, groceries and shops. Staff were helpful and friendly. I didn’t use the pool but it looked nice. We absolutely will stay here again next time in Faro."

"Great hostel, good Central location. 5 minutes walk into the city centre, 2 minutes walk from the nearest bars and restaurants. Clean room, comfortable bed and good communication from the host throughout our stay. If I'm nit picking the only very slight drawback was, the bedroom curtains, weren't full blackout (I'm a very light sleeper) but this was a very small thing, and it probably won't affect most people. I would have no hesitation in staying there again. Recommended. "

"The busy part and old town of Faro were only a ten minute walk. Avenue 41 was also close to good grocery shops and reataurants. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, even printing our boarding passes. The rooftop terrace was a lovely apot to unwind! Hoghly recommend."

"This may have been a case of misaligned expectations on my part. I thought it was a small basic hotel but it felt more like a basic private room hostel. The location seemed a bit sketchy and run down. Having never been to Faro, I didn’t know what options were available and this had fair reviews so I selected it. "I only stayed here one night but wished I stayed longer! The area is incredible, walkable to the busses, trains, and the pier. This hotel was beautiful and clean - I especially enjoyed the window that overlooked the street and the communal kitchen was a nice bonus. Will certainly return! "

"We had a wonderful stay here while in Faro. The staff was exceptional, so friendly and helpful and very accommodating. We arrived late and they were gaciosi enough to allow us a late check out as well. Our room was very nice, very clean, very spacious and very comfortable. I liked the nautical theme decor. The bed was so comfortable, lovely linens and towels, and we had a patio overlooking the pool. The room had a nice jacuzzi as well as lots of other toiletries, slippers and nice touches. We...

"Staff were lovely and attentive, bathrooms were clean, common room is a bit spartan... but the real issue is the beds; they're a bit of a mess. Wooden frames that creak, wobble like crazy, and wake everyone in the room over even slight movements. No AC, and the fans used to substitute sadly don't reach up to the top bunks so you're just profusely sweating while you desperately try not to move. Overall I'd say only stay if you really need a cheap bed. Think of it like an amusement ride!"
