Home away from Home

I picked this place based on the extremely high ratings, great rates and personal reviews I read here. I can say that what you read on here is true. This place is managed by an amazing woman named Yomaira who makes this place everything it is! From the moment I booked I was able to contact the manager Yomaira directly and she was unbelievably helpful. I do not speak Spanish and this was my first time traveling to the Dominican Rebublic also I was going by myself. From the moment my plane landed Yomaira was texting me making sure everything was going ok. I let her know it was taking me longer than expected due to immigration process and she said not to worry she would wait for me to check in. When I arrived it looked exactly as pictured beautiful purple amazing building inside. Yomaira was right there and walked me through everything including a map of the local area and places that would be most helpful pointed out. She was able to answer all of my questions and never once got frustrated which is a huge credit to her since I had about 800 questions. The room has a nice tv with lots of channels. Yomaira showed me exactly how to use it and which channels were in English. The room had a nice kitchen that had everything you need to cook whatever u bought at the local market within walking distance. Great way to save money. I would definitely stay here if I return to Santo Domingo. This place makes you feel like you are home and with family. No credit cards taken bring pesos.

Comfortable hotel-great staff-great location.

There was a slight problem with electrical due to the city not the hotel but the staff and the owner made everything bearable. No problem for me. I enjoyed my weekend stay there very much.

Value for money

I think other reviews have said it all. I had booked a balcony room but was given the choice of that or another on the ground floor in the back courtyard and being over 70 chose the latter. The room was well kept, had cooking facilities but no kettle. The bed was comfortable with a fan which was sufficient for us. Having the louvre shutters closed meant it was dark so we had no difficulty sleeping. Yomaira, as has been said was most helpful for everything even lending us non techies a simple mobile phone with her number programmed in just in case we got into trouble as pensioners may well do! It was by no means luxurious but certainly value for money, safe and convenient to see all of the old town

Centrally located in Zona Colonial

Residencial La Fonte is centrally located, so walking to the main sights is easy. Our room had a narrow balcony overlooking the street. We did get some street noise, but we slept well. There is a nice terrace patio on the roof that is open to all residents. The service was excellent. Yomaira gave us a city map and pointed out all the places we'd want to visit. She also marked the closest supermarkets and ATMs for us.

Super!!

This place is quite a gem. The front and the inside are kept nicely. It is refreshing to find a low price clean place in the area that is so welcoming and on point. One of the best features is that no one bothers you when going in and out of the place. The location is great and you get a lot for your money's worth. I look forward to returning and staying here again. In fact I stayed more than once during my recent travels throughout the country this time around.

Great little gem in the Colonial Zone

Awesome place, starts with Yomaira at the front desk. Fun, funny and oh so helpful with suggestions for things to see and do! Apartments are spacious, secure and only blocks from Colonial Zone. Great terrace on the roof was a bonus to our stay. Ac available tho we didn't need it. When we're able we'll definitely go back!

Aparhotel muy céntrico y tranquilo

En realidad muy buena.fuimos varios y la pasamos super.mucha privacidad .. Puedes compartir con tus amistades libremente ylos empleados muy amable ycooperadores.

Nice Budget Apartment-Hotel in Zona Colonial

I've been visiting DR for some years now and normally stay at the same place, but it was fully booked for the dates I needed so I had to find another place to stay. Was a bit worried cuz of past bad experiences with budget apartments, but it all changed when I got in touch with the lady in charge (Yomaira) VERY FRIENDLY & HELPFUL ! Nothing was too much trouble for her and she is ALWAYS a call away. Either call her or send her a message on whatsapp and she will do anything in her power to help or make your stay more comfortable!! A true Dominican hospitality!! She can also organize transportation to and from the airport. I think it's US$10 return trip (shared airport pick up) or ask her to send a private taxi to pick you up from the airport. That's around US$30 each way.

Hotel sufficiente

Hotel nella zona coloniale pulizia servizi e personale scarso no breakfast area condizionata da pagare a parte .. 50 euro di cauzione da pagare quando si arriva in hotel .. cmq tutto sommato nei dintorni ce di meglio ..

Apartamento bien ubicado en la zona colonial.

El personal de la recepcion es excelente, Nada falta.

Local hotel in the Zona Colonial

Clean hotel. Local feel. You get what you pay for. Great if you want a hotel walking distance to the historic sites. Some rooms have a kitchen to cook in . Not a luxurious place but a good place to sleep and get ready for a day (or night out). Staff is very nice and welcoming and will answer all your questions. Keep in mind they only accept pesos. No credit cards. And the AC is charged by use and has its own meter. The owner is italian guy ..not the nicest person but then again you hopefully wont see him

Comodi appartamenti in piena zona coloniale

Ho soggiornato 3 notti a Santo Domingo al Residencial La Fonte. L'appartamento era confortevole e in posizione molto comoda, ottima la disponibilità del personale. Il rapporto qualità/prezzo è molto buono. Consigliato!
