"After booking the room and later reading reviews, I was concerned. I met with the desk clerk prior to checking in and asked to see the room first due to the reviews. He was more than happy to allow it, although he stated this is NOT the room i would be staying in, but could expect the same level of cleanliness. My wife and I inspected the room. She saw bugs on the trim under the bathroom counter and countless amounts of roach poop on the ledge of the trim. The room smelled of mildew and the carpet was damp. When I brought this to the mas attention he said " Show Me The Bugs " . We went to the room to show his, which naturally the bugs had left. I showed him the bug poop and he became irrate. He stated " If You Needed a Cancellation, This is NOT the way to get it. This Is Not gentleman Like AT ALL " !. I explained I had not wanted a cancellation upon arrival, however I did now as the room was not up to par for my family and I to stay in. He then yelled at me " Forget It, You Are Not Getting a Cancellation, I Changed My Mind". I Left, booked a room elsewhere and proceeded to complain to Hotels.com about it. They reached out to the manager, and he stayed true what he said and denied cancellation and refund of the booking. I Advise Hotels.COM to remove this location from their list of approved locations as it has and will continue to hurt relations with customers in the future. "
