"The room was clean and on the 1st floor and I was able to park car in front of my room window. Bed was comfortable and sufficient comfy pillows. Loved the zero walk in shower with handicapped bars on 3 sides. Room was large and comfy with Refrigerator & ice maker close to the room. Breakfast was typical Coffee, juice & waffles but scrambled eggs & sausage and biscuits also available, which was a pleasant surprise. "
"The staff was nice and courteous. The upkeep of the building was poor. The carpets in the hall and in the room were not well. The ice machine leak dirty water."
"We went to this property for a quick 24-hour trip to get out of the house during the cold weather stretch. We'd been there once before a few years back and had a great experience - this time around it was a terrible experience and we will NEVER be back! I am not one to write reviews but people looking for a place to stay should be warned to spend their money somewhere else!
This property is FILTHY! The kids' pool had TONS of green algae growing around the slide and all the rope. The pool leaked of chemicals and chlorine (more than normal). Our bathroom was not cleaned thoroughly prior - had other peoples' hair still in our tub and toilet.
They have a very strict rule that you cannot be at the hotel until time of check in which is 4pm. We've never experienced this with a hotel before. We got there at 1pm hoping to leave our bags at the front desk and use the pool until our room was ready. This was a hard no!
The staff members were incredible rude. They were so short staffed that the manager was the one emptying trash cans and cleaning up the pool towels. They were all complaining about being short staffed. A woman was working the front desk with a back injury and couldn't walk so any time she was asked for help (i.e. needed an extra towel or pillow, etc) she ha to ask for people to come back when someone else was there. Rightfully so to not be able to do things with an injury, but management shouldn't be assigning someone to a front desk role if they can't help customers."
"My girlfriend and I are both local and we’re five minutes from our house. The only reason we rented their room was for my girlfriend‘s birthday. To lay around and be lazy and sit in the hot tub. The hot tub was not working when we got down there. I told the guy sitting at the front desk. He told me there was nothing he could do even though he had been in there previously into a control room to get it started again. I asked for my money back. And I was told that would not happen. When I asked to speak to the general manager the next morning on a Saturday at 8:30 AM. The girl went to get the manager in the back room and returned in a couple minutes to tell me he was in a meeting and couldn’t talk. I was given no option to talk to the management. I had also mentioned that my shower in the morning was lukewarm at best. The girl at the counter replied thats unfortunate. This hotel does not care about their guests and I highly recommend you look elsewhere for a pleasant stay. Because you won’t get that here."
"Rooms and common areas clean, comfortable, friendly staff. Brkfst selection/food was great! No probs, parking was good. Will stay here again when in Chi area."
