"This is the worst place I have ever had the misfortune to stay. On arrival I could see that the building exterior was very tired. The decking was past its best and the key box was broken and the smell was dreadful as I opened the door. Tried to keep an open mind went to open windows but the bathroom and one bedroom didn’t open at all. It all needed a good clean so put the immerser on and waited, I am still waiting. "We loved the cube-style apartment we stayed in at the Oak Tree. It was clean and very quiet since it was self-contained. Parking was convenient in the back right in front of the cube.The young lady in reception was friendly and very helpful. The area is absolutely beautiful. Wish we had more time to explore the Loch. We had an excellent dinner though service was a bit spotty because I felt they were understaffed. Would highly recommend this Inn. "

"We were instantly upgraded due to a leak caused by storm Amy in our room. The staff were so good and nothing was too much trouble for them. The breakfast was wonderful, we had the full Scottish breakfast and enjoyed a lovely meal and cocktails in one of two bars. Can’t fault this place! I’d go back for sure! "

"Following its recent refurbishment, The Tarbet Hotel blends historic elegance with modern comfort in a stunning location, great for hillwalkers and couples. My only critique is that the dinner service was a bit slow and the menu felt like poor value for money, but we enjoyed the fish pie and chicken schnitzel. Breakfast was exceptional!"

"Really enjoyed our stay at Tontine. Very well located for getting around Greenock and travelling to Glasgow and other surrounding towns. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere and rooms were clean and comfortable. There were quite a few parties over the weekend in the event room but we didn’t hear anything when we went back to our rooms. Nice and quiet. Would recommend. "
