"Kind, courteous staff. Only stayed here one night when arriving in Cartagena before heading to the islands. Wish we had come back here for the second part of our trip in Cartagena. Convenient location to lively nightlife, restaurants, etc yet no right on the corner and rooms are away from the street so they are *quiet* at night. "

We stayed in the room that has some varied art and decorations spanning the African continent and it was compact but fine. The bed is unfortunately not very comfortable and a little rickety. Breakfast was tasty and made to order."

While the location is excellent, as it is very close to the old town main areas of interest and the marina. it is nevertheless outside of other walls of the old town and the last block or so before one reaches the main door of the hotel’s building is dirty and smelly."

"We had no hot water in the shower. The temperature was cool. The rooms do not have direct windows to the outside so they are very dark. No breakfast buffet and the breakfast they did serve was mediocre at best. Four slices of burnt stale toast for two people. No variety of foods. They don’t even give us water. Had to ask for butter and salt and pepper. Completely unprepared. Located on a busy street. Definitely not a 5 star hotel. Don’t waste your money. "

"The staff was extremely nice, patient and helpful. The room was nice. It was cleaned everyday. Breakfast was included and was very complete. Loved it. We went up on the terrace several times (furniture needs pillows) and used the small, yet sufficient pool. The hotel is very conveniently located. A busy street does run in front of it, so if you’re sensitive to noise, it may bother you, but it did not bother us. We slept really well in our king size bed. "

Before I arrived, Maria, Daniel, and the rest of the staff communicated with me through WhatsApp and helped with transportation, decorations, breakfast, excursions, dinner reservations, water, ice, and the sunset cruise.
