"We stayed in D9 - 3 bedroom
Ocean view. The room itself was very spacious and well stocked - plates, small appliances etc., but it’s time for a refresh. It’s showing its age! Staff are friendly and helpful! "
"This is a beautiful resort; the casitas we stayed in were just wonderful (with potable water provided)! Very friendly and helpful staff; appreciated. Also appreciated that there was an office of TuffENuff onsite to book our snorkeling trip.
Downside: There's only one restaurant (and we really enjoyed eating on the pier) and no other restaurants nearby. One can order pizza and other items from restaurants in San Pedro, but the delivery fees are very high. And the cab fare to/from town is ridiculously high.
There was a power outage on the last day of our stay It happened around 8 AM. First we were told power would be back on by 10 AMM, then by 4 PM, then by 10 PM, but each of these times came and went with no power. Staying inside was impossible, as there was no AC. While I understand that having a generator for each building may be cost prohibitive, I strongly suggest to the owners of the resort that they invest in one for the reception building so that guests could cool of in a scenario like this. I don't expect to pay more than $200 a night for a room that I can't use!"
"I really enjoyed my stay. I had few hiccups but the team handled it well and with professionalism. The property was beautiful and well maintained. I can't wait to come back!!!!"
Mahogany Bay Resort & Beach Club, Curio Collection by Hilton
10/10 Excellent
"Gorgeous property!! Would definitely stay again and can’t wait to go back. The private beach is very clean, smooth sand and sea floor- the cabanas are worth the fee and view is unbelievable. The staff was very friendly and the grounds are very well kept. 10/10!!!"
"My stay at Watermark Hotel was honestly unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel at home, special, and completely taken care of. As a solo traveler, that meant everything.
A huge shoutout to Tanisha at the front desk — she was AMAZING. She didn’t just check me in, she made sure I had the best experience possible. She gave me real tips on where to go (and where not to go), helped me plan my outings, and even called clubs ahead of time to check dress codes for me. That level of care? Top tier.
And then there’s Daniel at the Sky View Bar — wow. He went out of his way to find me homemade empanadas when I couldn’t find them anywhere, and they were SO good. We talked, listened to music, and he made some of the best drinks I’ve ever had. The vibe was unmatched.
I also have to talk about my girl Nancy — she was everything. We connected instantly and talked like we’d known each other forever. She kept me company, made me laugh, and truly made me feel like family. As someone traveling alone, that meant more than I can even explain.
Every single person I interacted with made my experience special, but these three went above and beyond. I didn’t just stay at a hotel — I felt welcomed, cared for, and genuinely appreciated.
I love them all and will definitely be back ❤️"
