Really enjoyed my one night at this beautiful little lake "cabin". Paula, the manager, was especially helpful with everything and communicated promptly with me when I had any questions, even outside normal business hours. Thank you Paula!
It is accessed via a private dock and is tricky to access after normal lancha run-times from San Marcos, so plan accordingly and buy your supplies beforehand. But the excellent view makes it more than worth it, and the morning sunrise was the highlight of my stay there.
Would love to stay here again for longer.
Highly highly recommend staying at this beautiful property overlooking Lake Atitlan! Waking up to that view every morning and watching and listening to a thunderstorm on one of the nights during my stay was so relaxing. The bed was so comfortable, shower was hot and with a view of the lake. Beautiful crystal clear water in the bay made for a perfect swimming spot. Paula was so kind and stayed in touch throughout my stay to make sure everything went smoothly. While the property is located off of a private dock it was still easy to get to from Panajachel and I had no problem getting to and from other towns with the lanchas. Make sure you bring what you need for the night as the boats stop running from Pana at 7:30 and from San Pedro at 5:30 - though it is easy enough to get a private boat if needed!
Paula is one of THE BEST hosts I’ve ever had. She was friendly, checked in on us, and was always quick to respond. Enrique (the onsite staff) was also very helpful. The casita is cozy and small, but beautiful - the lake view is unmatched! The dual shower is pretty awesome as well. The lake water is clear and extremely pretty.
Now, here’s my honest review: Come here if you want to DISCONNECT.
The WiFi signal isn’t strong. Your phone service probably won’t work well either. The casita is on a dock separated with a ferry that stops running at 5:30 pm from San Pedro & San Marcos and at 7 pm from Panajachel. Leaving later than these times will require a more expensive private ferry ride. We rented a car so we had to park it off-site and pay for parking each day.
You will need to bring food with you since there are no restaurants on/accessible to the property. All in all, we enjoyed our stay but would have preferred to stay in Panajachel or San Pedro.
