The place was lovely. The check-in tower was cool and Francesco was very friendly and helpful. It was a quit and perfect place for staying in the hills in Tuscana. A short walk to San Gimignano.

The best option for San Gimignano! The property is so beautiful that you think you are in a magazine. The well kept grounds are filled with blooming flowers and picturesque vantages. A friendly cat, cooing pigeons, and happy chickens add to the ambience. The rooster somehow also stays quiet... The rooster I keep at home is much less polite. Eating a delicious breakfast with the view of San G is so peaceful compared to fighting the crowds in the town. Relaxing by the pool at the end of your day with the very good wine from the property is great too. The distance to town is also perfect, the walk is not too steep or long. The dirt road to town is lined with plants and flowers and more great views so it is very pleasant. Way better than driving and having to find parking.

Beautiful place to stay! Great location - 20 min walk to the town. Clean room/bathroom. Water/shower/aircondition works fine. Stunning view from the window of our room, we can See the pool, & vineyards. The owner & family is very friendly & helpful. Breakfast is ok. Good spacious parking. The highlight for us is the stunning view of Hill top of San Gimignano & the vineyards, Tuscan hills from Swimming pool area. It’s very relaxing & charming place. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. my family & I would definitely come back!

Wir kommen gerne wieder !!!

Ein Familienbetrieb, der sehr freundlich geführt wird. Unsere Erwartungen wurden mehr als erfüllt !!! Highlight ist der nahe Blick auf die Skyline von San Gimignano, auch vom tollen Pool aus, und die Hügel der Toskana, wie man ihn sich erträumt. San Gimignano ist nur einen Fußweg von ca. 20 Minuten über einen Schotterweg entfernt. Obwohl es ein Bed & Breakfast ist, wird alle paar Tage am Abend von der Familie sehr lecker aufgekocht. Die Zimmer sind in Ordnung und sauber mit toskanischem Flair. Wir können die Unterkunft nur empfehlen und kommen gerne wieder !!!!

Très beau bed ans breakfast! La piscine avec la vue sur le village de san gimignano est tout simplement parfaite! Le personnel qui fait partie de la même famille sont accueillant, attentionnés! Le déjeuner est excellent avec un bon cappuccino italien! Ils ont leur propre production de vin qu’on peut déguster sur le bord de la piscine :)! Situé a 20 minutes a pied du village, Je le recommande a tous !

Tolle Aussicht und Lage

Tolles B&B mit sehr gastfreundlichen Menschen! Die Lage und Aussicht ist traumhaft. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt dort sehr genossen und ich würde jederzeit wieder dort hin fahren. Der große Pool war bei der Hitze ein Traum. Es gab genug Liegen und Schirme. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung. Es gab viele süße Sachen, wir haben es gerne bisschen deftiger. Bei Wurst und Käse gab es leider nicht viel Auswahl und was uns auch fehlte war etwas Gemüse, wir Tomaten und Gurken. Aber es wurde jederzeit, wenn was aus war, sofort neu nachgeliefert ohne, dass man nachfragen musste. Das war sehr gut! Absolut zu empfehlen!

Arrived at accommodation within 30 minutes of booking online. They appeared a bit surprised but were very gracious. This is a lovely property In a beautiful setting and well cared for. The room was large and had a spectacular view over the terrace and pool with the Tuscan countryside and the walled town of San Gimignano in the background. It was October and cool so I did niot use the large beautiful pool. One could easily walk to the walled town of San Gimignano. A cold breakfast buffet was provided - a large selection of breads and cakes. I would highly recommend this property

The most beautiful views

The highlight for us of the B&B Ponte a Nappo were the pool and garden area and the amazing views of San Gimignano and Tuscan countryside, its just beautiful. It is in a peaceful and quiet countryside setting yet close to town. We didn't attempt the walk into San Gimingnano along the dirt track as it was hot and dusty, however we did park the car at the top of the track and walk the further 5-10 minutes on proper pavements! Our room Azzurro, was smaller than some and south facing so had to keep curtains closed all day. Ask for a room overlooking the pool, they're larger and have views of the city. Breakfast was ok, typical Italian fare but they will cook you eggs at a small extra charge. Had a tuna salad lunch and it was delicious and very good value. Public areas are restricted to your room and the pool/garden area - it felt a little external. Carla is a delightful lady and a most friendly host, though she speaks little English. Service generally was okay if a little quirky. Would we stay here again? - yes - in a heartbeat! The location, the peace and quiet of the pool and garden area, and the absolutely stupendous views are unbeatable.

Lovely hotel with outstanding views :) Room very clean, beautiful pool area, great service , breakfast ok ... could improve on more variety and better quality of food ...having said that we ordered lunch in the hotel twice and it was really delicious. Sehr gepflegtes Hotel mit fantastischer Aussicht

Das B&B liegt wunderschön in der Natur, man ist umringt von Olivenbäumen. Es wird mit viel Sorgfalt gepflegt, der Garten/die Umgebung war eine Wucht. Leider war es während unseres kurzen Aufenthaltes im Herbst zu kühl, um draussen frühstücken zu können. Aber die Aussicht auf San Gimignano war fantastisch. Wir hatten eine Wohnung mit Schlafzimmer, Bad und einem Wohnraum, welcher für die dritte Person zu einem Schlafzimmer (mit Sofabett) umgewandelt wurde. Es war für uns ideal, alles sehr sauber und gepflegt.

Difficult to find and not as advertised

Hotel is not as advertised. No restaurant or bar. Rooms are minimal. Location is beautiful but we would not stay there again. It is also very hard to find

It was adequate, with very lovely views.

The hotel was adequate for what we were after. It's close to the town (20 mins by foot) and had very beautiful views! The pool with the surrounding countryside are very picturesque. Extra charges apply for many things (pool towels, heating, cooling etc) and there was no sign of pool bar service etc. No one was overly friendly. They could improve on their service in making guests feel more welcome.
